A prime example of you just don't mess with people who are alot smarter than you, Jane was using psychology prods to get her to open up in ways she didn't wish to divulge with embarrassing past events in order to distract her, it was bait for him getting what he wanted.

please always remember that this is a show and the characters behave in design of a single creator. It is like a daydream, not reality. Do not draw wrong conclusions based on fiction, everything you see here is a victim of the writer's biases, which others in real life might not have, thus react differently.

Of course it is a television show involving actors who portray characters but the whole point of any good television show is to get viewers invested in the characters which this one did superbly. Just like in the real world it is foolish to screw with people who are obviously more intelligent than you are. That is not just some fictional lesson from a television show.

If you've ever got into watching Psych, you would see plenty of connections to Supernatural. There's even a scene where someone asks the main character (on Psych, I forget his name) Is that an ascot? And he replies, Yes, yes it is. Exactly like the ending of Scoobynatural.

It is because they were a lesson to the masses. An honest cop, CIA, FBI, or DEA is very valuable and respected by both sides. A corrupt cop, CIA, FBI, or DEA is a disgrace to all mankind. When DEA agents work a case, or extradition and sleep with teenagers it is a huge problem. When drugs, property and money go missing and without proper procedure being followed it is fatal.

@@Ali-Sensei Just re-watched season 6, I don't think Jane was fooled at ALL. He initiated contact, which would make her believe she fooled him. The mugging was set up by Jane to make it easier for her to spend the night and give him an excuse not to have sex. He also had his buddy at the hotel watching her and that was probably the final update given to Jane before he left with the FBI. We never hear what's said, but Jane has a smirk that says "that's what I expected to hear". I also think he sent Lisbon the shell that Abbott picks up at the beginning of the episode and that's how they found him. Jane reached out to them, they just didn't know it. Jane played his return to the States to perfection. All he paid was 3 months in what was practically a motel room.

He knew through clandestine communication with Lisbon that they were looking for him, all he has to do to get them to send someone was let something slip through, like the mail package she got with a shell which would get them looking at where it was sent from. From there it's just watching to see who's new based on body language. The rest is history.

Be careful watching these clips, I watched one, not this one. seven seasons and some 150 episodes later and I'm talking to you.

She didn't really click with Jane and it was a bad idea for the writers to try to make Lisbon jealous again. It was time for Jane to step up and stop wasting her time.

It's a really great show, lots of fun ! But C note only appears later in the series towards the end of season 5 (I loved his character), still a good show doesn't sugarcoat things like revenge etc. Jane's mindgames are a treat, and the path to find his family's murderer is overall well done

@@turbopokey The FBI had no interest in Lisbon, she was working a desk job in Washington. Jane, however, made it mandatory for the FBI to hire her as his partner or else he wouldn't work for them. He "convinced" them the hard way by driving them nutts, so they hired Lisbon after all. They are on equal footing on the FBI, no more boss - consultant relationship.

Jane is a narcissist, very uncomfortable to watch. Gets the job done, but always has an agenda. He has only a superficial interest in others, except Iisbon, hence he doesnt care how he hurts or uses other to get what he wants. He decieves, lies and manipulates, never apogises, enjoys belittling people. Good series though.
