You know doc it seems most of the time on those heat pumps and other condensers 8 out of 10 it's a capacitor, or a bare wire somewhere. Great video

Hi Mikey, how are you ? Can you please help me, my Jandy heater is not heating… the fan runs but the flow out is not cool … The display has not problem showing. What can be the problem ?

I have Jandy pool HP, the compressor and the fan run about one minute and I get HIGH ref pressure. What could be the cause? water is 100% flowing thru.

i have a similar problem the fun doesn't turn on the heat pump shot off after 3 second and the message said fault high ref pressure, what could it be, btw I'm in central Florida.

The "condenser" fan motor is not your condenser fan motor in a heat pump. Ypur sending your discharge from compressor to heat exchanger to heat water. Your "condenser" then becomes your evaporator. So if the fan wasn't running, low pressure on your low side.

I have this same unit and I turn it on an it takes about 4 to 5 minutes to start up. Soon as it kicks on and the fan turns on it runs for about 10 seconds and throws the breaker. Any idea where I should start on trouble shooting this unit? Also my lcd screen is burned out so I can’t really read it

The unit has a 5 minute delay built into the board also ohm out the compressor common to run let’s say it’s 1.5 then common to start let’s say it’s 1.3 now check start to run it should be the fist two readings added 2.8.... disclaimer my numbers are made up resistance will vary by compressor turn off the power first and if turning off the power didn’t occur to you call a professional also check all terminals to ground if you have resistance your windings are shorted to ground but generally it won’t run for ten seconds if shorted to ground it will trip the breaker instantly if shorted also could be a bad connection at the disconnect or connections in unit

On heat pump running as heat, that fan is warming the evaporator coil. Also you're not moving cold- all refrigeration moves heat.

I was just gonna say the same thing cant put cold into anything nor can you remove cold; you can take heat out or put heat in. But it all depends on the flow of refrigeration
