Could be one of the reasons. Kasparov, if I remember correctly, was also notorious for the same thing. I believe it gives them a slight psychological advantage when they turn up late.

Magnus similar to Fischer in that they win drawn endgame positions.

Haven't noticed it myself, but one reason is Duda broke Magnus' longest non-losing streak, and Magnus beat him a couple times after that... Also Magnus told in an interview that he takes revenge by not just beating them once but several times... They have some dynamic going on ...

i hope that's not the case. magnus always has kind words for duda on his streams. he also said duda was one of his main rivals in the closing conference of world rapid.
