Idk I never thought of the Polish as anxiety-ridden but perhaps they do their worrying in private where we can't observe it. After all, we can never truly know another's mind and potentially the Slavs are particularly skilled at obfuscating their nerves. Tbh I always thought they were good warriors, but I suppose you can be an effective warrior while worrying. I mean, GSP was apparently a bundle of nerves despite being in the GOAT conversation.

Yan still only moves directly forwards with his combos with his head dead centre line the whole time, Izzy will touch that chin up quite easily, Yan also backs up in straight lines, sounds like I'm shitting on Yan but I'm not, I'm a fan of his but I see Izzy being too fast, elusive and accurate for Yan to touch him reliably.

@@zGJungle Jan literally throws strikes on every step when he is moving backwards. Dude is a very powerful forward and back step counter striker as well. Izzy is superb at both of those things also. It well be an awesome fight and I’m really pulling for Jan to win. He will have his work cut out for him though. I myself can’t stand Izzy but acknowledge his expert skill set

No one has ever belived in Jan. But he made this habit and overcome every tough opponents put in front of him. And that's why he is so great as fighter. And he is such a great example of success and how to achieve it. I love you Jan whether you win or lose next fight you will always going to be my hero

I sparred with jan back in 2016, he really doesn’t have that much power. I ate his biggest shots came forward and rocked his shit too. Then I woke up and they told me I was out when he threw his second jab.

I'm polish. I followed Jan since KSW fights. Before the Reyes fight I had no doubt that he will get the UFC belt. He showed us in the octagon and told us about it in his interviews. His Each step was win or learn. He is Smart in the octagon and he see openings and can use them. Maybe he use Basic technics but he is a master in this game.

He's great fighter and person, unfortunately, even though that Poland has the biggest mma federation in Europe, mma itself is not that popular in comparison to other sports and Błachowicz only get 7th place at Best Sportsman Awards 2020 in Poland. He definitely deserved to get more credit for his achievement.

He has great reflexes along with great punching power. Most of these knockouts came after he dodged a punch from his opponent.

One of the few things good about covid is the crowd, or lack thereof, sounds like the old days. You can actually HEAR the hits, which tell you just as much as seeing them.
