My mortgage went up 200 dollars they gave me 10 dollars more . I'm single and disabled. I'm only getting 80 dollars and after I filled out paperwork I only got ten more . That bullshit. My EBT/Snap card amount went from $281. to $48. in Louisiana. This is a $233. CUT. I'm appealing it. I used to spend $300 per month on Grocery's but this past January I spent $500. and was Shocked, buying basically the same things. It scares the hell out of me!

Hi Jane - that is very scary. The inflation on food is very real and is out of control. So many Americans are suffering. You are right to appeal - that is a severe cut! I hope it goes well!!

Social security raise guarentees a cut in link! I got less that 30$ raise and my link got cut almost 20! How does that help me? $98.00 a month and many get less thsn me plus i have to pay $7.60 for prescriptions when before i paid $1.40!

They cut my foodstamps down to $13 a month. I’m diabetic and get low monthly income. Besides having other health issues to have to buy my meds is a complete joke what they expect us to live on.

Unfortunately, this is often the case. When you Social Security increases, your other benefits such as SNAP often decrease because Social Security is considered "income." We agree with you - it does not help you at all. The system is not designed to adequately help people!

The rent here in nc to rent a house is 1300-2000 a month we just barely making it everything is super expensive wish they help more with snap rent 1800 we need pay power water trash gas phones we cut the internet took some phones off sometimes we pick and choose what we can pay at moment its getting so bad out here

Unfortunately, several states are experiencing delays with SNAP benefits. We suggest contacting your SNAP caseworker for an accurate update.

If the states have the summer food program then families should not get extra food stamps.this is double dipping!folks should utilize the summer meal program if they have children.
