Watching this for the first time in a loooooong time and I'm 38 now. Long story short I'm from Toronto and had made a trip to Cardiff Wales way back in the day and fell in a CD shop. Starting talking to the store owner after I asked him what's the new sound coming out the UK - he handed me this DVD. Took this back home and was blown away....This sound was so new and nothing like anything getting played. D Double def was the star in my eyes at the time. Anyways, Big shout out to the U.K for creating a true original sound and full respect from Toronto.

Yup 2002 - 2005 was the peak of grime (nasty crew, east connection) Sun city underground garage 1998 - 2000 was some good shit. Still have those packs, those tunes are like gold dust.

dizzee was by far the best set mc thats why he blew up so much so quickly he put grime on the map but not by himself obv, titch,wiley,doogz,nasty jack was better set mcs than d double back then aswell imo but d double aged well and can still merk a set the same right now so hes defo very legendary.

One observation here, as a grime fan since when this set was run and even before, everyone is feeling everyone elses bars for the most part, it was largely a connected community, more love than beef in this room.

Esco got murdered. Crazy Titch is in jail for murder. Stormin switched to Dnb done well there but has died of cancer, Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Tinchy Stryder, and Kano had chart success and made a lot of money. D Double E is an underground legend. Jammer has done quite good too. Hitman Hyper is still going on the underground but has never been well known (underrated).. No idea what happened to Slix, Dangermouse and Armour.
