Jamiroquai=Most successful acid jazz/funk band ever. Pink Floyd= Most successful progressive rock band ever. One thing in common. Once the bassist leaves the band, the sound is never the same.

There’s a difference between a musician who performs and a musician who composes. 25 years later Jamiroquai still performs what Stuart Zender and Toby Smith composed.

@@sassysuiryu1114 hey man this is my other account, i totally agree! always been a huge jazzer but i can appreciate those lightning quick funk baselines, stuart zender is without equal with what he does, i still think paul turner has a few good baselines too though…

I truly miss this band touring around the world and displaying their talent. I think Jay K in particular is an amazing front man. I really really wish this band would commence to getting together again and present their inspirational music for all the world to hear. I have been a die hard Jamiroquai fan since the 90's. And I will always be devoted to their music.

At 7:18 I think Jay Kay, don't realise how crazy was the part between 5:40 and 7:12. I've never heard something so crazy, so powerfull...the flute, the bass, the guitar, the drums, they are all at their best.

I'm sorry for commenting again about this video. But when i hear btw 5:40 and 7:10... It's just the insaniest thing i have ever heard. At 5:40 you have the psychedelic flute with JK's improvisation which is totally unpredictable...and after comes at 6:43 the insane part..HOW CAN I DESCRIBE THESE INSANE FLUTE & BASS ? you add JK which is jumping randomly + the electric guitar. It's not big noise like death metal, it's just musical genius. Hard to find something better than this.

its a real shame that jamiroquai dont jam like this anymore. They play more professionally but that feeling that they transmitted whit that risky way to play is unique wen jamming taht way. Check the soul education song in mountreaux when jk mistakes in his lyrics... twice and that was for jamming, but still great performance!!

HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY JUSTIFY THAT?Gilmour/Wright worked their asses off not just on Wish, but on Division and the Pulse tour, which nobody could say they didnt put their hearts and soul into those shows, then to top it off with On an Island, three MASTERWORKS!Should be in the Smithsonian. Go buy or youtube the Pulse '95 Royal Albert Hall shows and watch on some good shroomies, then some back and comment. The bassist that replaced waters was SUPERB even better I think after listening repeatedly

Edit: I meant BRO, not BEO, lol, And also the Waters shows where he does the wall and has Gilmour come in during Comfortably numb, still gives me the best goose bumps, the wall waters shows were incredible, but without Gilmour playing the whole thing through and without Mason, and the rest it just felt hollow. But when PINK FLOYD performs err, before the sad loss of Mr Richard Wright, they blew my socks off and performed the best concert in my opinion they ever did ever and waters was not there.

Hi Rogue Dude, I love Gilmour and I love Paul Turner from Jamiroquai. I am just saying that the sound has never been the same in both instances. And I agree with you about Roger Waters, I don't think there is anybody more cynical with such influence in popular music, but still he was the biggest creative driving force behind Floyd during their golden years. I, respectfully, disagree when it comes to Gilmour's best works perception. I think that his best was with PF during the 1970's.

Sorry about my delay in replying. I think Paul is a great bassist, but maybe the record company is having way too much influence over the band's direction. Who knows? They all live comfortably now and are not as young. The frequency of the new music output has greatly diminished since Stu and Toby left the band. I still love Jamiroquai and think they had great luck in landing Turner after all. I still hope that Jay and Co. will surprise us and break new musical ground at some point.

yeah, the jams now are too calculated.. smooth sailing, no dynamics. in the older videos you can really tell when they're taking it up a notch. something about matt's improvising skills don't do it for me. fine player for most occasions, but can't keep it together in an intense jam like toby could. toby was the glue!
