Jamiroquai Rare Interview

Ойын-сауық

Can Jamiroquai predict the future? Front man Jay Kay certainly thinks so! In this rare interview the virtual insanity singer talks about songs that seem to have come true, why it took him a while to understand acid house and how he struggled to be taken seriously in the early days of the band.

We are lucky to live in a generation that was and is able to experience the music of Jay and Jamiroquai. Absolutely top notch artist, and an even better person, and supportive of animal rights...a true trifecta.

This band for some reason keeps it too real. I always wished they performed a lot more festivals in North America.

When you're take a look and listen to all the tracks Jamiroquai have recorded it's crazy that they have made so many consistent hits throughout 3 decades. Testiment to them.

I love how he ends this interview with the comment about being much more a normal person than the persona that he has to portray to sell music. I like that :)

Great interview with Jay Kay and revealing in a subtle way. Jay Kay and Jamiroquai have an enormous amount of talent.

I love his conception of what an Album should be. Without a story it is indeed just a string of singles. The reason I love "Alright" so much is because of that smooth intro and the way it follows and completes "Everyday", of course you don't get that from the radio. The best format to enjoy music is still the album in my opinion. It gives you so much more perspective. And even if Jay Kay would probably deny it, his stuff is on par with Marvin Gaye and Stevie. Jamiroquai came from somewhere, but it will stay forever.
