I listen to a lot of DC content and I kind of get the impression that he’s basically just happy to be there and would take a quarter final defeat as long as the banter is good and he plays ok.

Yeah, it's the worry I've had about the team for a while. I think all the England teams across all sports used to get a horrendous time of it from the media, and they seem to have all taken the approach that they're going to enjoy it and that's fine, but the idea is to enjoy it so it builds team spirit, and translates onto the pitch. What I see more from the England rugby lads is a lot of them seem to want to just enjoy it for the sake of having a good time.

For Danny, why are you not the England first choice, I love watching you play, it's a compliment, but I think half of your lineage is from the Terrier dog family, we just don't know what your going to do next. Just brilliant. Bon Tournament xx

At least the journey back from the group stages is short.

“We’re happy with where we are” Boys…..Ireland, NZ, SA and France practically play an entirely different sport to you.

Agreed, they’re clearly in an absolutely terrible state and some honesty would go a long way. Pretending that everything is fine really isn’t helping with fan engagement

be a miracle if England beat Argentina in the first pool game given current form. Fiji loss, Ireland loss, Wales loss - meh, not sure what problem is... Once again not getting Shawn Edwards as Defence coach a massive weakness.

DC and TO should be ashamed of themselves. They won their first caps in the same match, under the guy who quite easily sits above DC in the drop goal stats.

I know DC is quite mature, but didn't realise he won his first cap under Rob Andrew!

I know they are contractually committed to do this nonsense but it just gives the impression that there isn't a massive issue with the squad and management. I hate the way people say the English are arrogant but seeing them playing games and being daft when there are huge problems with the whole set-up gives an impression of arrogance. They might scrape out the group stage in second place but it doesn't hide the fact that English rugby is dying on its feet.
