Blockchain is not plug and play. You cant just say "we use blockchain" because its likely that you are just running a permissioned database and calling it a blockchain. When in reality an actual blockchain like Bitcoin is decentralized, public, and censorship resistant.

When you look at what their motive is, it makes much more sense to have a permissioned blockchain. JPM coin is for internal use to improve efficiency, not to replace bitcoin.

Both Goldman Sachs and JP banks hold quite a bit of Bitcoin in their vaults. They're just playing dumb to make people think it's worthless to try and drive the value down so they can scoop it up and buy it cheap while they still can.

Advise: do the opposite of what the people who want to control you tell you to do

Hyperinflation isn't possible with Bitcoin, because it involves printing copious amounts of bank notes in very little time. A coin pegged to a fiat currency's 'value' can't resolve that. Not to say that Bitcoin is incapable of losing its value. It's just that there's one less way in which it would happen.

It doesn't matter if you are the first in line.The 'value' of the money you hold will be used to bail out the banks.

Bank can't publicly announce they support crypto currency, but they can announce they support blockchain projects. Very normal reaction. Long bitcoin short the bank. When you understand bitcoin you then no longer need bank. Now we need bitcoin payments everywhere Walmart, online, anywhere people spent money. Then bank can fail.

The argument that bitcoin is not valued against something is the dumbest thing you’ll hear all day. Let me explain clearly.. It takes energy(electricity) and computing power to “mine” bitcoin. Someone has to pay the electricity bill at the end of every month to do so, and they also have to buy powerful graphics cards to be able to solve bitcoin rates. They also invest time to mine. Plus given the fact that there is a finite supply of bitcoin (Only 21million in the world) how the fk are you gonna tell me there is no value attached to the coin? What’s the value behind printing endless amounts of fiat money?

There is no value behind the dollar except a humungus pile of dept. Gold crypto and let's pick dog breads all have only value, because of that someone who wants to pay x amount for them. But as with the case of the dollar and dog breads, you can breed the one or print the other and thereby devalue their worth substantially. Not the case with gold or most cryptos. Value is decided by the customer. Stop trying to swindle people.

Will JPMCoin be available internationally or will there be location restrictions like most payment services have? Will none-customers be able to transfer JPMCoins without a JPMorgan bank account, or is it limited to JPMorgan customers?

Jamie Deamon says there is no real value behind crypto, only what the next person is willing to pay for it, but there is real value behind HIS coin...what is that value? According to him the value is that you deposit your money to JPM..First of all; What the next person is willing to pay for somthing is completely irrelevant. That is called a market. It has nothing to do with the question. Second, the point of blockchain and thus cryptocurrencies is that you can do secure transactions WITHOUT JPM. It also allows people without credit and bank cards to join the economy. It also allows people, everyone, not just rich people, to get in on the ground floor of projects. It also allows for digital assets such as items in comptuter games being owned by the players not the developers. You want to create a song? Let the market decide if they want to pay you for the song or not, not some third party. What is does basically is removing the need for people like Jamie Deamon. He is no longer required. He is outdated. He is desperately trying to stay relevant and afloat.

I am from Saudi Arabia and I don’t use traditional banking methods due to islamic finance. I have a digital wallet at Menapay which is created with blockchain technology and does not use interest. And Menapay is the only one certified by government so far @@alisonzhang8731

Bitcoin is backed by math. Unlike other currencies Bitcoin doesn’t need to be backed by governments, other assets, central banks etc. because its security is absolute.

Hopefully the oil exporting countries will wise up and stop using the dollar soon enough so it crashes and everybody realizes the insane amount of dollars in circulation via careless overpringting whilst maintaining the value artificially by maintaining the demand for the dollar via the petrodollar.
