James Stewart's Yamaha Era Highlights
Спорт
Check out these Highlights from James Stewart's time at Team Yamaha. It was a huge deal when it was announced that James Stewart was going to switch to a Yamaha in the fall of 2008, especially after winning the 2008 Pro Motocross Championship and going 24-0. Stewart was a long time Kawasaki rider where he won numerous titles and an insane amount of races, for Kawasaki to let him go was mind boggling at the time. However, It didn't take long for JS to shine on his new blue ride as he won the 2009 Supercross Championship in his first season on Yamaha. I find this very similar to Eli Tomac in 2022 with both switching teams from Kawasaki. Unfortunately, injuries and crashes would take Stewart out of the Supercross Championships in 2010, 2011, and 2012. But Stewart still showed he could beat anyone on any given night. Watch him battle Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, and more! This is James Stewart's Yamaha Era Highlights. Enjoy! #JamesStewart #BubbasWorld #Motocross

James is the perfect example of why there is always more to the story then just "championships". When you look at James and how special he was then see he only had one title outdoors and two supercross titles then realize he was in the 450 class from 2005-2015 or 16 I believe its really hard to accept that. 3 titles just doesn't explain his greatness. And as amazing as he looks on these videos in person at the races was something you cant put into words. Some of the stuff I watched him do at Fox Ride Day in Macon GA at Paradise Off road park in 2003 was unexplainable Im 34 now and still think about it. True once in a few generations athlete. He's on a tiger woods type level as far as propelling a sport forward drastically and true impact.

Don’t get great and fast confused.
One freaken BAD ASS on a motorcycle! The great BUBALICIOUS yeu, yeu.
It's cool I can say I got the chance to be around James and his family on numerous occasions only because my brother Tony Haynes use to race and his number was 259💪🏾🔥 that's me and my brother in the video back in the day when James cased the quad at his track on 250kx
The Bubba/Reed battles are probably my favourite all time in SX.
It kills me to watch James be so much better but lose to small mistakes. He would have so many more tittles and wins if he have been anywhere but yamaha in 11-12.
. we learned a lot. thank you idol James let's go .
Легенда мотокросса. 👋👋👋👍👍👍
I cant imagine James on anything but Kawasaki

2009 supercross championship. Most exciting SX season of all time.
The 2008-09 YZ450F was soooo good & Stewart was able to kill it on that bike. That new gen just didn’t gel with his style! I really like seeing these battles between Stew & Reed. I’ve always been a big Reed fan but enjoy looking back at these epic battles!

@@japslapr I had the 2009 & it was a great bike. Off the floor it was choked up & had bad reviews from the magazines for that but after a full exhaust, proper jetting & a 06 CDI, it woke it up & it was a easy to ride fast 450 that didn’t wear you out. I could ride it faster w/ less effort than my RMZ450 that I had at the time. You don’t need heaps of power to go fast, just a easy to ride/comfortable bike.

JS the man
If two strokes stayed for longer, JS7 would have won it all, over and over again.
He was so fast that the bike doesn't even want to be fast.

Loved how JS7 drug out the 2 stroke era. That was very impressive to watch
He was so fast and when he was on he was on. Nobody could beat him.

for anyone wondering why chad reed is wearing 8 in the first reel. he did so to honor his good friend, and previous years US open winner, Grant langston, who was sidelined in that current year due to an eye problem, that ultimately ended his pro career.
👍👍👍js7 should of stayed with KAW
Show Doug Henry's yamaha era
Always great watching JS7. …and Reed will always be a POS.
Never seen Evarts on supercross race hs
Die Hard Bubba Fan… but Reed has never looked better than that year on the Makita Suzuki. Still wasn’t enough for the big trophy though 🏆

I'd argue he looked as good on the Honda in 2011 before the Chadapult crash, that changed everything...

@@toddjohansson5837 I mean he finished the Chadapult race, Dallas 2012 is what ended Chad Reed imo.
imagine taking the other dude out all the time & he still damn near passes you after all that
Any one know why he never rode red?
James owned chad reed like serenawilliams owned Sharapova. James bubba stewart has good bike and not crushed smoke any legend supercross track past or present. He is something special.
Wasn't Stewart the rider suspending for using PEDs? I think it was Adderall? Baseball players use Adderall for increasing endurance and reaction times?
I still think Kawi js7 was way more dominant
I truly believe if he would’ve stayed on Kawasaki he would’ve won more championships. Had too many mistakes on the Yamaha.
I like reed but he's got bad sportsmanship. He rides dirty and has no problem taking out other riders. But then if someone does it back to him he gets mad and calls them a dirty rider. He took james out so many times it's crazy.
Ah yes the era where James StewHurt was born. Incredibly fast as usual, but seemingly always found a way to crash and injure himself. He had all the potential in the world to be better than Carmichael but just never knew when to slow down when he needed to. That reason alone is why I’m taking RC over JS every time
Reed always taking Stewart out because he can't win with him on 2 wheels

Reed is like Barcia...he uses his bike as a weapon.
Ain't NO forgiveness for Reed's maliciously running James off the track. NEVER.
He and his father put up with a lot of racist BS while at the races. James and his father handled the racism with grace. James is this era's Willie Mays.
