James Stewart's Yamaha Era Highlights

Спорт

Check out these Highlights from James Stewart's time at Team Yamaha. It was a huge deal when it was announced that James Stewart was going to switch to a Yamaha in the fall of 2008, especially after winning the 2008 Pro Motocross Championship and going 24-0. Stewart was a long time Kawasaki rider where he won numerous titles and an insane amount of races, for Kawasaki to let him go was mind boggling at the time. However, It didn't take long for JS to shine on his new blue ride as he won the 2009 Supercross Championship in his first season on Yamaha. I find this very similar to Eli Tomac in 2022 with both switching teams from Kawasaki. Unfortunately, injuries and crashes would take Stewart out of the Supercross Championships in 2010, 2011, and 2012. But Stewart still showed he could beat anyone on any given night. Watch him battle Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, and more! This is James Stewart's Yamaha Era Highlights. Enjoy! #JamesStewart #BubbasWorld #Motocross

James is the perfect example of why there is always more to the story then just "championships". When you look at James and how special he was then see he only had one title outdoors and two supercross titles then realize he was in the 450 class from 2005-2015 or 16 I believe its really hard to accept that. 3 titles just doesn't explain his greatness. And as amazing as he looks on these videos in person at the races was something you cant put into words. Some of the stuff I watched him do at Fox Ride Day in Macon GA at Paradise Off road park in 2003 was unexplainable Im 34 now and still think about it. True once in a few generations athlete. He's on a tiger woods type level as far as propelling a sport forward drastically and true impact.

The 2008-09 YZ450F was soooo good & Stewart was able to kill it on that bike. That new gen just didn’t gel with his style! I really like seeing these battles between Stew & Reed. I’ve always been a big Reed fan but enjoy looking back at these epic battles!

@@japslapr I had the 2009 & it was a great bike. Off the floor it was choked up & had bad reviews from the magazines for that but after a full exhaust, proper jetting & a 06 CDI, it woke it up & it was a easy to ride fast 450 that didn’t wear you out. I could ride it faster w/ less effort than my RMZ450 that I had at the time. You don’t need heaps of power to go fast, just a easy to ride/comfortable bike.

Ah yes the era where James StewHurt was born. Incredibly fast as usual, but seemingly always found a way to crash and injure himself. He had all the potential in the world to be better than Carmichael but just never knew when to slow down when he needed to. That reason alone is why I’m taking RC over JS every time
