James "Radio" Kennedy Inducted into T.L. Hanna Hall of Fame

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Halftime at T.L. Hanna's home game on Friday night was a special one.
James Kennedy came to T.L. Hanna High School in 1965 and, ever since, has been a beloved part of the Upstate community. Kennedy earned the nickname "Radio" by the football team's coaches and players for the transistor radio he was always seen carrying.
Radio was a regular at football practices, watching and eventually learning the signals of the coaches. His love of the game is apparent in his ability to name the mascot for any team in South Carolina.
Officials with the school said they are luck to have Radio as a part of their family--one who is described as having a permanent smile and always willing to show compassion to others.
Radio is forever a junior at T.L. Hanna because 11th is the highest grade he can be in without having to graduate.
And on Friday, he earned another permanent role in the school's history.
Radio was inducted into the T.L. Hanna Hall of Fame during halftime in the game against Boiling Springs High School. Other hall of famers with the school include former coaches and star athletes.

I wish I could have met him. He was such a good godly man that loved everyone. RIP and god bless radio, your in heaven with your momma now. He was too good for this world...

I never had the opportunity to meet James “Radio” Kennedy in person. But he made my heart warm when Anderson South Carolina introduced this Gentleman to the world. He made me and I believe many people better people. God is good.
