James O'Brien meets Caroline Lucas | LBC

In 2010 Caroline Lucas made history when she was elected as the MP for Brighton Pavilion, becoming the first Green Party candidate to enter Parliament. She has increased her majority at every election since and served as the Green leader twice. In her 14 years in Westminster, Caroline has used her platform to put environmental and equality issues on the political agenda.
Her latest book, Another England sets out how we can reclaim England's national story from Brexit cheerleaders and the radical right.

I’d like to see The Greens gain ground (they slowly are at a local level but on a national level I’d have been happy to see them in a Labour/Green coalition as Starmers worst traits will need tempering). She speaks incredibly well and more often that not proposes common sense ideas whereas the current rigged system just offers STATUS QUO…. Bookmarked this for later viewing.

Thank you Caroline for acknowledging that the UK is more than England. There's a saying in Scotland, it's England as Britain, Britain as England. A lot of Scots who voted Remain had/have reservations about the EU, but it made us feel a bit safer within the UK. Rachel Reeves recently said she'd like to abolish Scotland. That's how England is perceived by a lot of Scots. I would love to see England reclaim it's pride in itself and realise that each individual country in the UK is valid and has a lot to give to the whole.

The mistake with the referendum was that it was voted on as a simple majority. Thousands who voted leave were dead before the final act was completed and thousands more became of voting age and therefore had no say by the time the final process was signed. Based on the demographics of the vote by the time we actually left the majority that had existed was gone. But no doubt if Cameron had said 60% must vote to leave the Brexiteers would have screamed unfair because they knew that this was their last chance to get a leave majority as age demographics were rapidly running against them.

Well it was to take back control of their borders so my question is instead of criticising them shouldn't the remainers be criticising the government for not fulfilling the wishes of the people? It seems like a cheap shot to take aim at the people for being mislead when the fault is with government.
