He was my neighbor in the Colonnade apartments in Newark NJ. I was a couple of years old and my folks use to have him over when he was around. I've always had a love for his music growing up. My Mom would play his records and sometime you would catch something on the radio WPAT for those of you who are from the area. I was in Knoxville Tennessee having a beer at "Bistro at the Bijou" when they announced on radio that he passed away. I called my folks and let them know. I listen to his music all the time. Enjoy!
