The Mark Twain of song writers, guitar players and singers! 👍👍
McMurtry has it all. He's right there with Van Zandt and Dylan.

he's better that Dylan on the stings and he's better than Van Zandt lyrically . .

Is that really only 1 guitar, I know it has twice the strings but it sounds like 2 players, Wow!
As good a songwriter he is he’s an amazing guitarist.
Can’t believe his not worldwide famous..so good!🤩
Under 10.000 views since Feb 2018, that's just plain ridiculous, guy deserves way more..
Doing well for the son of a Texas Legend. Old folks like me are starting to ask "Which one was better?" His Father's sword was words. James wields his instrument similarly. Watching him carve his legend.
Love the clarity of the vocals. Can make out every word.

He makes that 12 string talk, he has something to say too, very cool, especially these days....

expose his talent to those who never considered
I love how much he hates small talk. I could hang out with him all day.
Love James McMurtry and all his creative kind.
I’ve seen him 9 times in concert...not sure he ever played this one live. It’s a gem; ‘Where’d You Hide the Body is a great album 👍
HIs songwriting could be studied in creative writing classes as a lesson in using specific, concrete details. The specifics speak to the universal. What a great writer.

He also uses empty space incredibly - by that I mean where you would expect a line he leaves it empty. The chorus of Rubio and Carlos. My all time favorite of his for the imagery he narrates.
One of the absolute best songwriters and musicians going these days. I have all of his stuff and hoping for more soon.
Thank u James. Mcmurtry
The 12 string maestro, great session

A truly fine writer. He also makes me sad that I sold my 12 string.
Fabulous to hear...long time fan! ❤
Dang, this guy is the best ever. Bobby Zimmerman! (Bob Dylan) incarnate, and I'm from Minnesota.

My insight into america
Mojo Nixon, the straw boss over at SiriusXM Outlaw Country, calls Mr. McMurtry "America's Existential Poet". Works for me.
Check out his Facebook live shows Sun at 1 and Wed night at 8pm. His contribution to the COVID issue.
...damn fine hat....yup.
🍻🎸🚬👍
