The way SNW is going, it seems Spock has had more lovers than Kirk has. Kirk only had four real lovers, but three of them died, and one of them told him to keep away, when she had his son, and the others he only got with them to help his ship.

1 episode left now What happened Gorn Teaser? Episode 10 Gorn cliffhanger or Romulan cliffhanger? When do we usually get quirky episode in Star Trek? Towards end of a series or mid series? 20 episode per season. Too early in the series for quirky.

@@kehrmidsael6804 I really want to like it, but c'mon, really? As far as I can see, absolutely no Star Trek show should have the dialogue, "You came in here hot, on fire. It's making me sweat." This whole scene is in no way Star Trek at any point, certainly not when in the Transporter room, with the serious task of beaming people up safely. The moments of humour in the franchise's past were always above this style of writing. I personally dislike the modern style of acting, as well as the writing; it's not in keeping with the correct tone that's required. It all really feels like actors acting with very forced, ultimately inappropriate dialogue. Also, Star Trek always had a classic, particular look and feel to it, with clever choices of colour palette and cinematography. Sadly, every shot of the most modern Trek visually lacks the personality of the past or of its own, and there's way too much reliance on above-the-waist camera shots and shiny lighting. If it's not Star Trek in visuals, and if it's not Star Trek in tone of script, then actors can't really save it. They use familiar Star Trek characters to mask the lack of original ideas and poor execution. I think modern Trek should only exist if it really makes you feel like it's naturally a Star Trek show. I can't help but think that viewers ultimately want it to be good, so they accept a quality that's really below what it needs and should be.
