Here it is, the long-awaited sequel to my James Hird highlights package I created almost a decade ago. I give you James Hird - You Are a Genius (Part 2)!!!
Re-live some of the most amazing goals, marks and passages of play from one of the greatest players ever to wear the red & black. Not only was it ‘what’ James Hird did on the field, but it was also when he did it, often saving his best moments for the big games when everything was on the line. I’ve tried to cram as many of his scintillating snaps and marvellous marks into this video as I can, and I hope you enjoy my latest tribute to a legend of the Essendon Football Club.

He really was a genius!
For me I put Hird just a nose of Gary Ablett Snr & Wayne Carey these 3 players are the best 3 men play the game,and I rate Hirdy slightly in front of Cyril Rioli &Dustin Martin and probably equal with Michael Voss,I still get shivers and emotional goose bumps watching the class of James Hird playing this game called Australian Rules Football.THANKU VERY MUCH as the king Elvis would say

He certainly did!
So many times he made his opponents look like idiots, but they weren't, he just made it look easy to find space and keep his feet.

@@dw29392 100% he would move in slow motion it looked like. No one to replace lloyd since he retired and certainly no one to replace Hirdy are we screwed? Lol.

The two Shepard's from Pevrill at around five minutes mark was special.
You could do a dozen of these Hird compilations and still have stuff left over.
I'd love to see him get another go at coaching. I reckon he would've done alright.

It can be quite hard to add the 1%s into highlights packages sometimes because they can happen so fast the coverage doesn't capture them properly, or the commentators don't do them justice. But Hirdy had so many of them he gave me plenty of great ones to choose from!

No one seemed to have as much time to do things on the field as that man!
None of that soccer style theatrics with Hird.No wonder he is exalted so at Essendon.
Noticed you haven't yet uploaded a highlights package from a past match against Richmond. Did you run out of matches or what?

Ah well spotted! Don't worry I definitely haven't run out of matches but now footy is coming back my uploads are going to based on the new 2020 fixture rather than the old one. So hopefully tomorrow the first part of the new fixture will be announced and I'll be able to work out which upload is coming next. Stay tuned!!!
