Hey Kevin one quick note. For your socials at the top it blocks the contest percentage of the clips you show which i think is pretty important at showing just how deadly these moves are. Maybe making it a tiny bit smaller so the contest percentage can be in view would be a nice touch. none the less keep up the amazing content!!

Great tutorial. I'm a Sixers fan so I use Harden a lot. I love using escape/stepback jumpers. With Harden, I like to do stepbacks on the right side of the court because I think it's easier to time the animations on that side.

Makes sense because his shooting hand is closer to your direct line of sight if he's standing in the center or on the right hand side of the floor than it would be if he were standing on the left hand side.

Appreciate you bro!! Yeah, that Harden dribble package is smoother than what I initially gave it credit for! It's a great way to keep defenders off balance as they retreat then if you combo it with a great step-back jumper package, it's really OD!

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I've been telling a few people about that Lowry hop jumper package. It's as annoying as he is in real life. But yeah, I wanted to focus on his hop jumpers for the shooting tutorial!

I think you should do some gameplay with all these techniques. It will be fire and way more realistic than cpu vs cpu that we always find on other youtube channels. Great video btw

It's tough man not gonna lie! But I'm now moving away from the meter, and one thing I found helpful is to start watching the animation from the feet, and then follow the animation until you reach the peak of your player's jumper. I found that watching only the shooting motion really doesn't give me enough time to evaluate the jump shot, so start watching their feet when they rise up, and follow the shooting motion!

Yeah definitely, that hard pound dribble to fade to the right was because I was driving diagonally to the basket to the right, if to the left you get the double step back animation from 22!

Go check out the attacking size-ups video and the hesi video bro! But I got a nice dribble tutorial for all levels coming out by the weekend!! That is the badge I would recommend with Harden's sig packages. HOF space creator on harden is ELITE!

These are 🔥🔥🔥 I’ve been doing this combo with Steph Curry while dribbling forward, I’ll go behind the back and transition to the Curry slide the opposite way which gives me space to shoot or drive 😤

just a switch-back from right to left, and then a behind the back dribble. So RS right-left-down-right! No, no flicking up on the RS on the combos I highlighted, the switch-back combos gives you that tween into the cross in itself!

The Devs gotta get James in the Lab so he can Mo Cap the way “HE” does his step back . Real Time you have to really look at James feet and even in some instances unless you slo mo his moves but . Ok reality you feel like it’s A travel especially how fast he does it but knows it’s not A travel , Playing 2K , they have over exaggerated the Step Back and it is A clear travel . Looks like EmBiid first attempt at James Step Back .

I have to agree with this, it looks good in principle in that it's the same general movements. But because of how overplayed it is, it doesn't look quite right. When I first saw it, it looks like Russel Westbrook's meme imitation of it lol. The tween step-back, and the pound dribble step-back looked good in my opinion, but the double step-back could use some more tuning!

Always reading my opponent steps. Especially that front leg. Meaning the leg their stepping with. Once you've figured out the moves it becomes muscle memory. Reading those defender animations. I'm not crazy into dribbling by the way.

Definitely my opponent, you want to be reading his foot placement, and how he's moving and reacting to your dribble moves! On defense, it takes time to switch moving one direction to another, and that's how you get those blow-bys or separation from step-backs!

I think so! They really aimed for animation parity, so this should be part of pc 2k23. But I cant say for sure since i dont have access to that version.

Combine the shot button with the left stick, holding the left stick down and away from the basket! But if you want to mix things up better, I recommend using the shot stick!

I got it on early, but I'm still playing around with it. I'm seeing if I like very late might be the way to go. Also, James Harden is one of those with the earlier releases on some of these quick step-backs (the pound dribble to step-back and the tween to step-back)

I still use the shot button and the left stick a lot, but for these types of step-backs, it's easier because the animation you get will depend on how fast you interrupt certain moves!

Yeah, it all really depends on when you break out into the step-back animation, so a lot of it is setting up the timing of your inputs!

I do wish the animation is cleaned up a bit, the first clip for example looks almost like the meme version of the step-back. But they get the general idea right, I bet it's just a tough move really to blend with some of his other animations.
