Way too many people still think that it's just about proximity, Deane had the better lead run and Aasbo's chase had a lot of mistakes: He completely missed outside zone 1, punted the inside clip and missed the second outside zone too while also failing to match Deane's angle

Kevin M Aasbo always holds back a lot of angle and james is always sideways. plus aasbo has a ton of undeserved wins. still both insane drivers. should’ve been a OMT 100%

Nah while James didnt have very much proximity, aasbo knocked over front clip 1, missed outer zone 1, and wasnt very deep into the first touch and go either. James did a better overall job.

no your expected to hit a certain line and speed as the lead car, if you miss the line or go to slow you lose or else everyone who leads would just be an asshole and go slow as possible to fuck up the chase cars

go back to 2:55 and watch how much the lead purple car slows down on that final left hander. purple puts way too much angle and slows way way down leaving dean no were to go based on the initial drift angle. purple basically hucked it too hard.
