My o my having these short film clips are worth millions and if colourized wow were talking about back to actual cinemas possibly... The actors in these films are the best in the business and probably these young ones just don't know yet, but they are the foundation of the oldies but goodies old timers love. With proper paid attention, yes there's money to be made...

Great short. Something eerie about Dean. He did not seem like he was from the '50s. He had the look, mannerisms, dialect, style, haircut, clothing, wrist chain, speech, and attitude of 2020. He was youthful, but in a very hip manner for that time. If you watch him closely in his films--it's as if you are seeing an actor from this period playing in a 1950s movie. Maybe that is why he was an outcast in Hollywood. They were not used to his futuristic vibe.

@@marcokite Your So Right...James Dean had that zesty sperit being a pioneer of actors, Why ? Because he was being himself and he was outstanding no doubt about it... He was so intense and yet so exciting to all around him, but the horrors of sexually abusive producers, directors and their very sick minds taking advantage of the young up coming actors and actresses caused much harm in the acting business. I know I grew up meeting quite a few in the business my step farther owned a fine established restaurant and Tavern in Santa Monica Calif...My God the memories our so crisp I can still feel the warm wind from the sea and feel the atmosphere around me...It is an intense feeling of knowing it well never ever be as beautiful, clean and calm as yesterday...The feeling of just going out for a nice walk to someplace and being relaxed and enjoying the feeling of serenity and peace of mind...That's something nobody can take or change its yours for eternity...

Nice, crisp film, thank god it's not a lousy Kinescope, of which there are many Dean appeared in. Dean is in top form here as a busboy/cafe worker, and although the script is deficient and not well developed, he is a stand out, very confident and lucid. Sadly, this was his very last television appearance in June of '55, out of numerous ones. Edgar Stehl is related to our family, he is the man who enters the Cafe while Dean the busboy and his boss are discussing his making deliveries.. My dad had met him though I think he was quite an elderly gentlemen who was acting in his later years by then. Stehli also acted in "The Brothers Karamazov"(1958) and also had a brief role as the clock maker alongside Rock Hudson in a sci fi movie called "Seconds" (1966). He was a good character actor and he continued to act well into his later years. Thanks for putting this up on You Tube.

Marlon was awesome, but unfortunetly he got lazy later in his carreer as he had no competition after Dean died and Clift was broken from a car accident, he was lit during his first movies, and by the late 1950's early 1960's he was just there, collecting paychecks and bringing his B game. Dean gave everything he had into every role he'd play, i think he would be eventually better than Brando.

@Kelly T have you ever read a legitimate James Dean biography? I say "legitimate " because over 200 books have been written about him and many are tabloid trash and proven fraudulent. Anyway, Dean had a far from horrible childhood. Yes, he suffered from trauma of losing his mother when he was 9 yrs old, but he was raised by his aunt and uncle on a farm in Indiana. He lived with them until he graduated high school. He remained very close to them until his death and visited every chance he had. In fact, he was supposed to visit them on the weekend he died but had to cancel his trip because he needed to do some voice overs for GIANT. Who knows how things would've turned out if he had been able to go to Indiana as planned?

Kelly T. Dean had a wonderful childhood. The Winslows took him in when he was 9 on their Fairmont Indiana farm. His cousin Marcus still lives there. If anyone is a Dean fan it's worth the trip to Fairmont.
