For those saying Stewart started it, here's the full story: before this point , Corden looked and acted very disinterested in everything related to this event. He was on his phone and wasn't paying attention to anything around him. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. Stewart called him out on it and Corden insulted him for it, so Stewart did a jab back.

Patrick Steward is a smart man. His intention was to show the real narcissistic face of James Gorden. He knew by causing narcissistic injury it would bring out the ugliness inside him and his true face, and show who he really is and...IT WORKED. Ladies and gents, this is how James Corden talks to his staff every time, this is how treats them, this is how he pushes their buttons everyday and everyone who has met him whether at restaurant or work will tell you this is how he behaves. Patrick did everyone a favour to show us who James really is and it got him so much even on camera he couldn't hold it together. He's a bully and that is all he is.

It’s scary how quickly James got aggressive the second someone criticised him in any way, very narcissistic behaviour. If he thinks the host is bad or is doing something wrong; take it up with the producer or the host directly, but not on stage in front of everybody. If you’re in an office or any other workplace, you would talk directly and privately to the person; not on like a Monday morning staff meeting. Shame on mr Stewart.

"When the mask slips" is such a drama queen black-and-white way of thinking. If somebody's not angry 99% of the time and angry 1% of the time, that 1% doesn't magically represent "the REAL them." That's some infantile storytelling nonsense you have confused with real human emotion. Stewart felt insulted by Corden's conduct all night, so he insulted Corden back. None of that requires a "mask slipping" like you did some investigative journalism.

None of this really matters, sometimes things slip from our mouths that shouldnt have. What was really unsettling, was Stewarts' complete inability to improvise on the situation and save face graciously. Tbh I highly doubt he'd never tried to lose weight back then, though he may not have been public about it. If this is what you think do you mean that it's okay so long as they haven't publicly acknowledged trying to lose weight? Because I'm not sure how anyone would know other than friends and family. If this is your view maybe it would be better to only say this if the person has publicly said they don't want to lose any? Idk for my opinion I don't think it is okay to do either way, but I am sure you and others probably have reasons why it seems okay that maybe I am not good at understanding. 😕 edit: p.s. I did look up some of the reasons people did not like them and I understand why some would feel that way. A lot of what I saw seemed like speculation though so those things I took with a grain of salt :) Either way, if people do not like him for behavioral reasons I am not sure why they would concentrate on the weight as a reason.
