James Bond 007 Aston Martin Corgi Toy

Ойын-сауық

This basket case toy is the most popular Corgi toy ever. I never had one as a child but I remember other children who had them. This is a stunnig mdel as you will see when it is done.
Music by Dennis Wardle
I personally contracted this wonderful music for an exercise video, some 15 years ago.
If you are interested in the video, I can sell you a DVD. It is a wonderful exercise video, although modern TVs are now wide screen. You would still enjoy the realistic routine. Designed for the over 40 crowd.

Thanks Val. I like to look at this one, as it sits on a shelf in the living room. In a couple of weeks I'll have a different model in the hallowed zone.

Masterful job, Timo. I've seen several of these Aston Martins restored, but this is the finest one. I most enjoy your machine work. The famous car chase scene in Goldfinger was filmed on the Furka Pass in Switzerland. One stretch is now called James Bond Strasse. I've made the pilgrimage a few times. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, friend. 🍁☕👍

Thanks Andrew. I would love to one day see that road in person. Also, I would love to see the roads in the Alps where the scenes from The Italian Job's were filmed I will also wish you a Merry Christmas, your first one in retirement.

Hi great restoration, the original suspension supports can be repaired by using a .9mm drill and 1mm wire, just drill down into the plastic and superglue the wire in the hole. thanks for the link to the 3D files I'll be having a go at printing a few in the next day or 2, did you manage to make the file for the ejector seat and mechanism too? It isn't on your thingiverse page with the roof and interior. Keep up the restorations, I'm looking forward to you next one. It's strange to see other restorers technique but some great tips and ideas. If you are good at designing the 3D files I would love to get the chassis for the Corgi 268 Green Hornet, no one anywhere does these. Thanks again Timo

Thanks John. Thanks for the tip for fixing those plastic springs. On this model, one of the broken fragments was missing altogether. I also did not 3d print the other parts of the launch mechanism. In hindsight, I should have. I am making my own parts even more since doing this one. I have a Dinky Aston Martin DB5 video, which will be released on this Friday evening, which has many parts that I fashioned myself. The Green Hornet would be a fun toy to restore. We'll see if I find a trashed one on my journeys. Cheers, Timo.
