Like shit man I know Blunt ain't no Johnny Cash or Frank Sinatra but those guys sang and performed into their 70s along with many many other great artists. James Blunt is the type of singer/songwriter that can take a song beyond its expectations and he also has a voice that you not only hear but you can feel at the same time He can sing with raw emotion without any fault in the lyrics and her approach to modern music is also addictive with every beat James can be described as an artist that is both original yet unique and in my opinion that is a hard thing to find in todays music industry So if you like music that will fill your heart and mind with joy and pure bliss i recommend this singer as a must see performance!!

Why everybody say he is underrated? His songs many times are at the top lists and he tours around the world to huge audiences

this song will always make me emotional. no matter how much time passes, my heart will always tremble listening to it. I remember crying on the floor back in 2017, my first heart-break. I had such a great pain on my cheast I thought it'd never end. these words somehow found a way to hold me and assure everything would be alright. the power of music will never seize to amaze me. thank you James for such a masterpiece.

The lights flashing in the beginning foretells the tragic ending. It seems there is a long history between the lovers, but it was a mistake to love her. How incredibly sad to have found someone you can feel so strongly for, but can't be with and have to let go. I'm glad that James is finally happy now. And grateful that he has share some of the most personal, painful experiences with us. I'm sure there are others who have found themselves in painful situations.

Heard the song on Pandora recently and liked it, but this video makes it even better. I love the roller coaster and car crash. The roller coaster for me was practically even literal. Several years ago I rode some roller coasters with the woman I loved and previously had a crush on as a child. I had to give up on being in a relationship with her that day, but it was a good day. I once called it the best and worst day of my life. I've moved on since then so idk if that's even still true, but your song still plays on the nostalgia of those feelings I once had.

James Blunt has the incredible gift to blend truth, words, music, and love in heart rending harmony. If my heart had a voice, and my shivers ran along guitar strings, and my tears flowed over piano keys it would sound something like James Blunt.

Unpopular opinion alert. James Blunt is one of the greatest live singers of all time. His voice live will bring you to your knees it’s so beautiful.

Well this is definitely a new favourite for me :D

Yet another OMG shout-out about James Blunt... and I have lost track of just how many I have done. Amazingly didn't know this particular video of one of my favorite songs of his. H*ll, ALL his compositions are my favorites! And in sum just to say that while Mr. Blunt has millions & millions of devotees around the world, I remain forever astonished that on some important level the music industry has not catapulted him to the upper echelons of the truly great contemporary artists -- a position he so well deserves.

He opened for Ed Sheeran a few years ago and when he sang this at the concert, I literally stopped in my tracks and burst into tears. It is so much more emotional, live. This man is RIDICULOUSLY talented.

puxbenny I profoundly agree with you that we cannot control most of our thoughts and emotions, mainly the automatic ones. But I can control what I do with them, I can control my physical actions, my objective behavior. Saying so, if I feel attracted to someone engaged and If I have the value of being a respectful person, I shouldn’t feed this emotion. There’re many ways of not positively feedbacking thoughts and feelings. Let’s suppose I have OCD and I definitely can’t control at what I think or feel. Neither way I am obliged to kiss and have sex with that person, who is engaged. So yes, we are taking about choices in the song. He fed that inappropriate loving feeling and conversely put it in action through his behavior.
