Girl, I know you calling it “abandoned” is a dig at your haters and I’m here for it. Forget them. If they’re so mad they can come tend it for themselves. You’ve got bigger fish to fry and it’s YOUR land, your garden, if you need to let it go feral for a season or ten of your life, that’s your prerogative. Your real fans are here for whatever season our Mega Mama is in. I had cancer…twice. My garden suffered. I let so many plants just die. It was a feral barren wasteland. I was lucky to get out without chemo both times but the surgeries and emotional toll of it all took me OUT. Eventually I pulled it all up and started over. Now it’s full of abundance again. Do what you feel like you can and not what others think you should. ❤

Many hugs and yes so true a rest to everything can be good and I love when I can't get to mine it's a very happy place by itself. The way it wants to be. And somehow just looks beautiful like the fairies had fun and where they want to be. 💕💕

I really understand what you mean about being emotional going in to your garden space. This year I lost a very dear man in my life. I planted over 30 different tomatoes for this man. All different types of them and every time I walk into that garden I cry . Also his family gave me 60 days to move. So I can not step into my garden. I can’t even look at it. So I gave it away. As I am writing this I am crying. Eventually I hope I can grow another one but for my mental health I am not gardening. On the bright side I watch how you had started to walk to help you heal. So now I have a gym membership and it’s helping me to heal. Thank you for being so vulnerable with us. You are helping me and you don’t even know it. Or even know me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Jamerrill, I have been watching your struggle and silent growth the past year....all while your garden seemingly struggled and has been experiencing silent growth for you to find. There has to be some divine parallel here. And all while watching this video, the hymn "For the Fruits of His Creation" kept going through my mind. Those lyrics are so specific to your garden situation! Holy Spirit moment? Continued prayers for you!!

Hi Jamerrill, I just wanted to tell you that I look up to your strength and I feel your pain. As Christians we do go through trials and tribulations. I lost my daughter 3 years ago she was 20 years old, I was diagnosed with leukemia last year and I’m in remission thank God, I twisted my ankle last week and now I have a 2nd degree ligament injury, and to top it all off my husband and I separated after 25 years. Only God’s grace has me still here. What I can tell you is that when I feel like I just can’t anymore I call on the Holy Spirit and he helps me!!! Sending you prayers!!

Jamerrill, there are seasons in life where the earth has to lay fallow to gather up it’s strength again. It is not dying, it is resting. Your garden is beautiful and like your other viewer said, the earth will take back anything you don’t end up using so nothing is a waste because it will make the earth stronger the same way your season of rest and running and growing will make you stronger🤗

Don't you worry about those hopes and dreams in that garden, you still have hope and you still have dreams, they've just grown like that garden. It is beautiful, all that lush growth it just paints a picture of freshness and new beginnings. Don't worry about weeds they're just natural flowers and especially dandelions, pretty yellow faces and the oh so delicate seeds. So good for the wildlife. So maybe not feeding the kids with tomato sauce but nurturing the nature around you ❤ take heart my lovely lady , you're doing so well x

Love your positive attitude! Keep on working through this!

I would like to make a suggestion. I know the state of your gardens is hard for you to see. You pointed out so many beautiful flowers. Have you thought about cutting some of the flowers to make yourself beautiful bouquets. Maybe 1 every week or 2 as a reminder that your gardens are still providing beauty for you and your family. Imagine a fresh home grown bouquet on your table.

When I was young, I grew up on a farm in Ohio. And each year a field was left untouched. This way it would let nature take its course and let it replenish itself. It’s the same with your garden, you are letting it sit out for a year so that it too can replenish itself along with you.

Sweet Jamerrill - thank you so much for this video. The whole time we were walking through your garden, I could not stop thinking about how it was a beautiful metaphor for how the Lord provides even when we think nothing can grow in the painful, scary times of our lives. God brings beauty in the darkness, comfort in the ocean of grief, life when it feels like we are surrounded by death. He is always with us, just like your lovely volunteer plants graced your garden with vibrant life. I just can’t help but be so proud of you. ❤

Innocence, joy, struggles, happiness, tragedy, disappointment, heartbreak, and on, and on. Through it all I wish I had learned many years ago to just sit and listen to the grass grow. Some things in life we will always grieve. Life goes on. There was beauty still there though, because you showed us, In The Garden.

I wish I had the energy to do a garden, even a container garden. I just don’t have the ummph to do any kind of gardening…and I grew up in the country on a mini farm. I wasn’t made to do anything though. Wish I had. I think it will be good therapy for you even if you clean up & are able to use some things. You’ve worked very hard & your home & flowers and everything look so beautiful. Almost like a sanctuary. Maybe that could be your prayer & healing garden-with some benefits. Please know you are so very much loved & cared about, you’re in our hearts & prayers. God knows it all. Every minute detail. He hears your heart’s prayers when words just won’t come. When every tear has been cried. I know this for sure. When two of my sons were in Iraq at the same time right after 911, God heard this momma’s heart prayers when prayers just wouldn’t come. My boys came home. My prayers linked with others …. It’s mighty & powerful. Your Victory is ahead. Keep your eye on Him ☝️. He has His eyes on His baby girl whose name is Jamerrill. Hugs, prayers and blessings ❤️🙏🙌

Mama J right here with you! This season is tough! I bawl at the drop of a hat. I'm angry and fighting for my sanity! Heartbreak and that big ole curveball has a tight grip. I went to get squirrel and bird food for what gets me going in the morning, with no sleep, the dreams are good and punishing at the same time. I've allowed evil to torment me and it's like reliving it all over and over. But didn't cause I started to sob and walk out. This is my 2nd Sunday since he died and I can't follow along at church, even online! I'm lost and know where to turn! On my knees asking for relief but I know Our Lord is here holding me up. It's the grief, anger running head long into the wall and begging to be able to climb over to the other side. As I looked at your garden I was reminded that whether weed or bloom it's all a blessing from God. And I heard the quote I'm so fond of.. Remember WHO I AM and WHOSE I AM, on repeat! Thankful for you Mama J and I believe in us both. Lol, hold my beer. Lovins to y'all!

I am a very long time follower, never comment but I want to say I love your hopes and dreams garden ❤. It’s like a metaphor of life. We set out with goals and expectations that are tidy, neat and rigid. Then it gets unexpectedly changed and those goals and expectations have gone. But life keeps going like the garden. It like you faced adversity but is thriving and growing strong in a different way. It may not be the neat garden you had planned but the flowers are beautiful and the gardens still providing a harvest for you 🥰.

Within your Hopes & Dreams garden you have a “weed” called Lamb’s Quarters. It can be used interchangeably with spinach. A delicious treat, indeed. Wanted to let you know before they possibly get pulled and tossed as a weed. All the best!

I know you think that garden is a hot mess and a write off for the current season but OMG I can see so much abundance in there!!!! Just focus on what is growing volunteer and harvest that. Pull what is clearly a “weed” and enjoy the space!!!

The garden tour was sweet, helped you put things in a different light. Everything in life has a season. Our feelings, struggles, disappointments, and achievements. You are doing what you need to do, enjoy that bunch of munchkins. Add different adventures into your life. I’m still praying for you every night at 8:30 pm central. I was concerned about you working so hard in that garden last year. The earth will take care of what you don’t, remember to be kind to yourself. You are loved!!!

Recovering....is an ongoing process..... little by little more becomes doable..... I am so glad you are moving through at YOUR OWN PACE. It is the best thing to do what nurtures you because you do have a sweet family to nurture. The season is just that.... a season. Care for yourself.

Jamerrill, it comes a time in a person's life where it is time to do what's good for you and you alone. You are still a young woman, nows the time. You have the love of God to show you the way. I'll be 75 on June 20th, and I'm just starting to concentrate on me. 💛 from 🇨🇦

The great thing about land is it waits patiently but it's quiety busy looking after the soil ....worms are a wormin, bugs are a buggin. Nothing is lost or spoiled or hopeless it's all doing its thing quietly til we are ready. Xx

I think our gardens are a reflection of life sometimes. When it looks like a mess to us, God is still planting beauty in there somewhere. ❤

Thank you for the garden tour and it was so nice to see how the outside of your house turned out. I didn''t see a video and probably missed it, where you shared how the shutters and things turned out. I am pretty sure I have figured out what is going on in your life, and I'm so sorry. I have picked up on queues you have had and clues and feel your pain as I have walked in your shoes. Running would have been a good way to help process it and wish I had done that. I will say the first year is the hardest and then we sort of find a new routine and start new chapters. I started a whole new book. The garden you had was amazing and that was in THAT season of your life. This new season will bring about new things for you and new opportunities and maybe the garden will come about when the season for it is right. Keep on keeping on :)

Don't worry about your garden right now, it will Waite. Like all things in life if you keep your head up and smile, know one will know how your are feeling, and dont look for the weeds look for the flowers, that will make your heart sing. I have gone through lost many times and that helps me. From country Victoria Australia 🇦🇺

Just think, all of those volunteers are just reminding you that it’s ok. I love that so many of your potatoes have grown back to say hello to you. Any flower that bows its head towards you is a wave from all of us saying hello. Do what you need to do with that space. Leave it be this year. Till it under in the fall, if possible, so that if you choose to grow a small garden or a huge garden then you are one step closer. Love to you and your family. I hope that all the children are adjusting to the new - you are showing them the way.
