I like how everyone in the family is doing their best. Dad is working hard to provide. Mum is running the home with dedication and the oldest child is trying hard to persevere. Meanwhile the young one lives in his own world. I also like the detail of the oldest son eating an omelette like his dad. You get the sense he looks up to his dad and wants to be like him. Someone else said Ishan preferring sunny side up shows that he thinks differently from the rest of the family.

When the father, mother or elder son is focused in the song, the lights are dim and dull, video is playing maybe at 1.25x and the lyrics are "Duniya ka nara, jame raho". As soon as little Ishan comes into frame, the lights are all bright and lively, video slows down to 0.75x and the lyrics are, "Kyu duniya ka nara, jane raho?" Such a wonderful cinematography. 💕

Loved the screenplay, scrip, choreography of the movie and this song.. So much of detailed descriptions... For eg look at 2:57 .. Ishan jumps but lands in the water. It is so small scene, but that shows his dyslexia and unable to do simple tasks which other kids can do easily. What a movie.

Damn! Can relate so much to Ishan . His character describes my childhood perfectly. I was mildly dyslexic in my childhood too, and I was always sloppy about my uniform; it was my mother who did everything for me, from washing and ironing my uniform to cleaning and polishing my shoes, to preparing lunch and breakfast for me, and to top it all off, she used to come after my school was over to pick me up. Quite frankly, I just don't have the words befitting to describe the struggles of my mom.

I remember this song being totally a thing back in 2007-08. It's unbelievable that it's 15 years to this film and this is the first time I'm listening to and watching the song whole and you can feel the tension of the everyday life of each character in this song.

One thing is constant the hardwork and repeated courage of a mother and a wife how amazingly she is handling her 2 sons and husband hats off to all ladies including my mom❤❤❤🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍

These types of mother dont exists anymore.

I don't know why everyone is missing the brilliance of this song. The whole theme is about an alternate outlook on life to people who live in the moment, enjoy the small things, don't have lofty goals and ambitions, and are not a slave to society's schedules. The whole movie was centered around this theme - but somehow everyone thought is about Dyslexia. Dyslexia was just a tool or a part of it. The overarching theme was not to just chase success and money or try be the best at everything but to just enjoy what you do - and how parents should encourage talents. The point is you dont have to 'Jame Raho'

3:04 This part is the best for the thumbnail of the music video "Maa". I love it.

I watched this movie when I was in college. Now I homeschool my child.

Vishal Dadlani has sung very few songs(Jee Le Zara, Jaane Kyu and Jame Raho, etc) but his voice is like an exploding bomb 💣. His voice makes us enjoy the song 😌

I watched this movie when i was in elementary damn i miss this, im gonna watch it again in Netflix. My forever favourite film in Bollywood😭❤️

Ishaan's character is damn relatable to me. Even the lyrics from yahan alag andaaz hai.... totally describes me. I was pathetic at mathematics, not dyslexic but was average in studies, however, I was (i am) very good at arts. I always hated logical subjects like maths, science and loved other subjects and arts. I have never been a servant of time 🤣 (unpunctual) and I do procrastinate a lot. Daydreaming and fantasizing are my religion and I live inside my head almost all the time. Dayummmm!!! 🤪🤪

I watched this movie, really good 👍

I can't watch this song without crying. I bet many people may relate to this movie. I had difficulty in studies and my Parents would never understand. They would compare me to my siblings, neighbors kids and curse me a lot for me being average. MY father would ask my teachers to beat me, My teachers would beat me up, once three teachers beat me in playground like a football, they kicked me, threw me and they were laughing, and nobody would help me, my parents won't listen. I am somehow doing well

Tbh that little boy is the cutest and I just love that women who played the rule of Mom in this Movie 💕💞

Over a period, the concept of below average in school students have been made to look successful in life. It's leading to a situation where a obedient and disciplined student is made to feel guilty for being sincere. Even in reality shows and movies they show that if you are good at studies, it is no big deal. This is creating a society where the below average in school students are getting extra attention at the cost of above average student. Nothing wrong but slowly the educated class is losing the respect it deserves. Now the media is portraying if you are a doctor, Engineer , scientist, no big deal. If you are actor, musician, singer, dancer, it is great. Are we trying to create a society where educated class will slowly but surely be at the bottom of the social ladder and only actors, singers, dancers sports personnel will be at the top

This movie and the songs in it are sooo damn good.. Notice how the song plays in a very fast beat in the scene where father and the older brother gets ready, when the shot cuts to ishan.. It slows down a lot..until another person ( Ishan's mother beautifully portrayed by Tisca Chopra) enters the scene. Beautiful in every sense❤👾✨

Very nice song 😊😆 it reminds me of when i was late for bus always… I like how the music changed to classical when Ishaan showed, then again rock music 🤣😆

This song shows the eternal love and care of a mother... And lots of emotions... 💝

I laughed so hard when the tune of song changed... perfectly symbolizes the world of elders and a child.

It gives goosebump reminding of when schools will open and yet our notes are incomplete😂😂

Life is not life without Mom Home is not home without Mom's love. Family is not Family without mom' s care.

I love the angle shown from a mother's way...A mother is really talented, hats off
