I've alwayssss loved how every question was based off his whole life and the one that mattered the most he truly didn't know the answer to especially because he didn't pay attention to the story in school.. I don’t know who did the theme/soundtruck for Who wants to be milionarie but it’s soooo fucking intense. The scene is already intense, but with that music is terrifying. Excellent movie

He did not know the answer. When the question was asked it reminded Jamal of his past with his brother Salim about The Three Musketeers. They never knew the third name. Jamal said to make Latika the third Musketeer without even knowing the name. Only knowing there was a third Musketeer with Salim saying she should go away and Salim saying that they both do not know the name of the Third Musketeer. When Jamal was asked the question about the third Musketeers name he just really didn't know. Only thing he could think of was calling his brother Salim because in his childhood past with his brother he shared this subject/topic with only his brother. His only hope was maybe Salim would know the answer in the time they grew older. And Jamal only had his brother Salim phone number. But Salim told Latika to escape and take his phone and car. He would become the sacrifice so that she could escape. When Jamal called his brother it was Latika who answered it. Being very surprised and almost overwhelmed she was alive Jamal had to ask the question quickly but Latika did not know the answer. Even when she did not know the answer it did not matter anymore for Jamal because she was safe and that was more important for him then winning the final prize money. He just literally took an gamble and guess the answer and it just turned out to be the right one. Even if Jamal guessed the answer wrong it didn't matter anymore because Latika was safe and that was most important. Why Latika did not know the answer? When Jamal said to Salim that Latika should be the third Musketeer they were having that conversation inside the container for shelter while Latika was standing outside. She could not have heard their conversation because of the distance she was away from them and because of the rain being unable to hear their conversation.
