Shorn, you misunderstood the vendor that gave you (for free) the two items carved with your name and your husband. What he said was that, usually the items would've cost you $2500 to buy, but he is giving you yours and "IF" you want to give a donation towards your husband's Matthew then, you can give him anything you so choose to give.

SELLING USED CLOTHES : I am a senior citizen, i have never heard of the selling of used clothes in Jamaica until you brought it up. Having made a check, I was told that the SALVATION ARMY, a reputable religious organization, collects used clothes for the poor and homeless. In order to sustain their giving campaign , they often ask for donations and sometimes sell back used clothes to help out the needy.

It's call ray ray market. It's sold here, it's mostly when people carry used clothe from foreign, out here we call it wear left clothe. And in May Pen it's call ray ray market.
