What she means by Jamaica is not a black country is that many Jamaicans are of mixed race and no matter how we look on the outside we say we are Jamaicans. We dont do like everyone else. She makes perfect sense. All the other Caribbean countries have their isolated ethnic groups they associate. We dont have that in Jamaican culture. We just say we are Jamaicans because of our mixed heritage.

Thank you for watching, and I do understand that point. Growing up in Jamaica 🇯🇲 we never talked about race we talked about rich and poor uptown downtown, but once I moved from Jamaica I realized that everyone see us as a black country, and the fact that if you are in the USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦 you are considered black even if you are mixed with any other race. Again thank you for watching and we can all learn from conversations like this.

Jamaica is also NOT the only country in the West Indies - as some people seem to think. Perhaps her point/annoyance is : "Don't assume being Jamaican means you have to be Black" . Hence some people's disbelief at seeing Non-Blacks speaking Jamaican/patois. 40:30 sums up what she was trying to say - but watch the whole video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWGfpLmto6qXlrA.htmlsi=S8phLURNFNmWbuwN

Jamaicans know that Jamaica is not only a black country and that we have a mix of different racial backgrounds in Jamaica 🇯🇲 I think the point that most people are making is that Jamaica would be considered a black nation, because the population is 90% black.

Good afternoon and thank you for watching, I would say politically it’s black Jamaicans that make up over 90% of the political system and in tums of wealth we have more black millionaires but but more white and Chinese billionaires that’s Jamaican born. But unfortunately most of Jamaican infrastructure are owned by American 🇺🇸 china 🇨🇳 and Russian investors.

Thank you for watching, and yes Jamaica 🇯🇲 is out of many one people, so is Canada 🇨🇦 and the USA 🇺🇸 it doesn’t matter if you are black or white you are a citizen in the country of your birth. But Jamaica being a black country is base on the percentage of the population in the same way that I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and I am considered a visible minority because of my race and the fact that Canada 🇨🇦 is considered a white migratory country. So the fact is that we are all Jamaicans black or white but we can’t deny the fact that over 80% of Jamaicans are black.

Good evening and thank you for watching. And no you got that wrong, Brazil 🇧🇷 have the most black population outside of Africa in terms of numbers which is over 30 million but black people does not make up 90 % of Brazil 🇧🇷 population , the black people only make up around 11% of Brazil 🇧🇷 population while in Haiti 🇭🇹 the black population is 95 % and in Jamaica 🇯🇲 the black population is 90 % so outside of Africa Jamaica 🇯🇲 and Haiti 🇭🇹 are the only 2 countries with a population over 90%

In the clipped segment she's making two separate points. The part about the passports she's referring to non-jamaican citizens. She's showing that despite her Chinese ethnic background. She's a true Jamaican. Furthermore, when she says that Jamaica doesn't hyphenate, then op of this video makes a claim about how people outside of Jamaica hyphenates... It literally just ignores the point she's making to make a completely random point. This whole video responds is a waste of time.
