"spun out of control" really sounds like her voice during her early years

The wooden bench is a reference to the one she and Tommy sat on his lap during the making of Fantasy. Only lambs can understand actually.

"conjure fixation" only Mariah's pen has that power

Quintessential Mariah written song. The chord progression is classic Mariah. She is the queen of that major to minor key change at the end of a chorus. (everything fades away, anytime you need a friend, etc) it really drives home a song. Or a swap back and forth during the chorus (do you think of me, cant let go etc) giving it an almost middle eastern sound. Its also has that 90s bounce pop sound like heartbreaker.

When a whistle is part of the musical structure of the song, not just randomly punched in. Eargasm

I'm just happy this song was written for a woman who can actually sing and anunciate! I miss it! I'd turn the radio back on for jams like this!

Alonzo Clarkston she is one of the greatest living vocalist that gets a lot of attention. There are others whose been in the game for decades who are not as famous but can blow as well. Check out Lisa Fischer, Chante Moore, Rachelle Farrelle. All 3 have beautiful voices with a wide range. If you do extensive check you will find they are very gifted vocally as well. Why they don't get the recognition they deserve is tragic.
