I believe Hackett weight class is possibly the reason for his inactivity with Mayweather Promotions. The welterweight division is not one of the most popular divisions right now, it was being held hostage by elder stars. Crawford,Spence, and a few more older fighters were trying to secure major money 💰 fights.

Is Jalil any relation to Greg Hackett from Bozy's gym in Philly? Jalil seems very well grounded, respectful, and humble, this dude is gonna go far with this type of attitude!! Jake would be the best option, he got mad capital, and I love that he is pushing the idea that fighters should have health benefits and a pension plan as a customary aspect of their contracts, wheter its though some type of fighters union or through individual bargaining agreements, but it is a MUST!!! Especially the fact that boxers and MMA fighters have some of the shortest careers and suffer the most abuse to their minda and bodies!!

The problem is PPV is the primary outlet for boxing and the PPV prices are through the roof for weak fight cards. Promoters take risk and must make money so the emphasis is on fighters who sell. Mexican fighters have a built in fan base. Black fighters have to be KO artists to gain attention. If you don't stop opponents it's tough to market a black fighter. That's Shakur's problem. Matchroom loses a lot of money. DAZN is a money dump. Saudi money will give boxing a boost. Ultimately,, DAZN's model is the future but America is the Mecca of boxing. That's why Hearn is recruiting and promoting in America. Boots may tip the scale in his favor. He's the KO artist that will make people tune in. Credit Hearn for just being a businessman willing to make money without discrimination or preference unlike Bob Arum.

It doesn't sounds like a neglect issue. TMT had to take time and work with the kid and pick his fights carefully so they can develop his record and experience without an unnecessary loss. When the kid was knocking people out left and right, it probably made him an undesirable match for other unbeaten young prospects. If he had 4 fights last year, they focused on him all year long. This year has been slow, but he could still get a few fights in this year as well. But, TMT probably wasn't going to invest much more into him during the year his contract expires, until they see what decision he was going to make about staying with them as a promoter. Smart on their part. Now, a new promoter has to get to know him all over again. And, if they rush him into something too early, and he loses, they could ruin him. At 21 years old, I don't know what's the rush. I just hope he is making the right decision for his career. He's smart for not burning any bridges so he can go back if things don't work out. He has about 15 more good years to box, and he should be okay with taking it slow.

This is true. You need to develop a character that is relatable to fans or draws their attention. This is an individual sport on almost every level. You gotta make yourself marketable. You don’t have to develop a persona that is completely out of character either. For example, being a humble fighter that kicks azz is a very marketable character. You just gotta package it in a way that fans can relate.

Another case of a very young fighter who wants what Tank has RIGHT NOW and don’t understand that he has to work themselves up to the bigger fights.. too impatient..and being a fast STAR in boxing? There is only one way to rise fast.. and that’s by being BOX OFFICE SPECIAL whenever you get in the ring by KNOCKING out ur opponents in sensational and dominant show stopping Fashion.. EVERYTIME you fight.. that’s just the bottom line.. also you have to know how to sale urself via ur own personality and building ur own social media followers.. you jus have to know how to be a polorizing figure.. sadly these are things that these young guys don’t understand.. they want BIG FIGHTS NOW!! But they don’t realize that boxing on major undercards is the best opportunity they going to get.. but he will learn the hard way

@@MostlyPeacefulNinja exactly.. but Ryan was knocking mfers out FAST and became a fast phenom within his own community but it still was a long Game as u said for him to rise to the BIG fight with tank and now devin.. he had a lot of fights under his belt before he got to tank .. this kid doesn’t have the fights and also isn’t marketing himself on social media well

Focus on creating an appealing character cause the skills already there 🫡
