North Carolina big man Jalen Washington nearly doubled his output from his freshman to sophomore years for the Tar Heels during the 2023-24 season. Washington averaged 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, blocked 21 shots and shot an amazing 69.3% from the field, mostly in relief for Armando Bacot during the year. 2nd highest box plus minus on the team, great measurables, can shoot 3's well, and only 20% of minutes given to him. Good against all opponents. He should have played more this year, and he will be a huge problem for opponents next year.

Washington really has potential to be one of the bests he needs to get lil stronger be more aggressive inside like that dunk on Georgia tech 😮💨 already has nice pick n pop an all around shooting

I think the potential is there skill wise but he’s got to get stronger and better on defense

We don’t just need it. Everything is riding on him taking that next step. He’s been healthy now finally for the first time since he was a kid pretty much, I think he had back to back acl tears in high school. He’s got all the tools if he can just bring it on defense we will have a shot in every game
