Great debut. He’s a very good runner and can do things with his legs that Murray couldn’t do because of his size and he’s very accurate on those short-intermediate throws. He doesn’t force too many throws and other than the one fumble, he takes care of the ball and avoids the turnover risks. He’s never gonna have the accuracy on the deeper throws like a Murray or a Mayfield but he may not need it.

I’m sure Oklahoma will heisman 3peat this year. Jalen is under the best quarterback whisperer of all time. Lincoln Riley is a genius and has produced two playoff caliber quarterbacks. Jalen knows what it takes to get to the playoffs and the championship as a whole. He has that champion mentality. His brain clocks in when the team needs it most. For example Georgia and Bama. Not to mention Oklahoma’s defense has far improved. Shutting down a top 10 offense completely in the first quarter. This is why I believe this is the year the sooners take their 8th gold ball home.

Jalen is in the BIG 12 it's exactly the opposite of "PLAYING IN THE BEST CONFRENCE IN AMERICA" Almost every quarterback "EVER" BALLS OUT IN THE BIG 12 ( because statistically speaking the BIG 12 IS EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of the BEST conference in america) Statistically it's the worst. I am a Bamma fan for life and always support Jalen but theres a reason he couldnt do this at bama..Because Alabama is in the SEC "THE REAL TOUGHEST CONFRENCE IN AMERICA" LOOK AT TOP 10 RANKINGS for last 20 years the SEC averaged 7.9 spots out of the top 10 spots Thi year Alabama will play literally 5 top 10 teams and likely 7 or 8 top 25 teams Oklahoma will be tested only by Texas ( currently not even ranked) Look at Jalin ,Murry ,Baker ,Johnny , eires ,Mayfield and a 100 other quarterbacks in the Big 12 they all through hi numbers but literally have no real challenges and most anyone can do it in the big 12. Jalin is a great athlete but he did not drink a wizard's potion to magically improve the numbers do not lie .he looks better because the competition dropped from Tier 1 to Tier -100. Put Tua in big 12 see what ya get.lmao.. The big thing is any and every person that posts and hypes it speak on today's example . BUT ALL THE REAL PISTS FROM PEOPLE WITH A REALISTIC AND " TRUELY UNBIASED" OPINION ,KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT and so do most others (including Jalen ) see interviews he said it himself. Example : See Peyton Manning's last 3 years in the NFL( 2 SUPER BOWLS ,UNDEFEATED IN HIS LEAGUE BROKE MOST YARDS ,MOST TOUCHDOWNS MOST WINS AND MANY OTHER RECORDS. LOOKED GREAT RIGHT...? Well now put Peyton as the starting QB in the U.S. High School National Championship game he would look godly. Likely throwing 100 touchdowns. Get the point? Not taken anything away from Jalen ,but even a 59 year old broken down Cadillac with 4 flat tires will blow the competition away if it enters a foot race.

South Carolina and Ole Miss are ok teams but both are very limited, and USM? OMG man how can you say that Alabama is playing a harder schedule than anyone? Alabama wins a lot because all they have to do is coast through their schedule right to the playoffs. The only 2 teams that even have a prayer against Alabama are LSU and Auburn, and neither of them will because Alabama actually does pay those 5 star players to come there and has never been caught doing it nor will they.

if hurts continues to be effective throughout the season and he puts up equivalent numbers to Baker and Murray there is not reason he shouldn't win the heisman and better yet get drafted in 1st round. The league has changed dual threat qbs are a goldmine in this league now. the era of pure pocket passers is coming to an end , mobility is everything.

D3Th_ BAMA personally don’t think Lawrence is that good, he is good don’t get me wrong but not great. The only reason he beat bama so bad was because Bama’s communication on defense was god awful that championship game. Plus Clemson would have very long drives against bama, like 5:00-6:00 minute drives and that would really wear down the defense. Short quick throw routes and short runs. Bama should have done the same and wear down their defense and rest Their own but all in all just got outcoached very badly that game. Play calling was absolutely atrocious on offense too. Went for an obvious fake field goal, would pull out the same wildcat formation on 4th down and they just caught on. Tried to establish the running game too much when the passing game is what mattered and when they tried to pass they didn’t go for short quick routes. I believe they were too scared because of the interceptions tua threw. Watching tua against duke first game looked very promising. Everyone thinks a player who can throw the deep ball makes them amazing but that’s just false. Tom Brady literally throws short routes all the time and goes down the field quick. Play calling was much better against duke on offense. Only can go up from here.

Jalen is as good of a deep ball thrower as anyone. It may not appear like that but let a receiver get open and he can hit him deep, did in this game. The only thing that Jalen needs to work on is the quickness of his read progression. He is essentially a running back who can lift 500lbs and throw quite accurately as well, even on the run. If you give him an offensive line who can give him a little bit of time he will stand in the pocket and dink and dunk or go deep, but if he snaps the ball and gets immediate pressure he will tuck it and run it as good as any running back. His running abilities have to constantly be respected by any team so that alone opens up some passing opportunities which he can exploit. He is like a Randall Cunningham; you can't play him like every other QB. Best is to use him for what he is and take advantage of it.

Saban wouldn’t let him play like this. 2 completely different offenses. It’s like going from playing for Gregg Popovich to Steve Kerr if you know basketball. Bama plays a certain way as a whole team and gets everyone involved. Oklahoma has more designed plays that single out their stars. That’s why OK has back to back Heisman winners.

Jalen's problem is that he is more of a runner than he is a passer. He doesn't have the patience/ability to wait for pass plays to develop and does what he knows, runs. This clip is mostly of him running. With the weaker defenses of the Big 12 maybe he will do better there than he did against SEC opponents.
