Brunson is probably my favorite player to watch these days. His bag is endless and although he does draw a lot of fouls, he’s not a foul merchant type of scorer like a lot of players are nowadays, the vast majority of his points come from pure skill. W video

I feel like every youth coach or father in the world should show their youngings tape of how brunson plays. His footwork is amazing, his craftiness is unmatched and the way he toys with his defender is mesmerizing. He may not be the tallest or most athletic player, but he doesn’t need it, endless bag.

Yeah I agree-very unusual footwork. I was watching him Sat night with my trainer who I do boxing with-his jerky-jerky stop & start moves really stand out…. Very tricky style that must be super hard to defend…

Man, I am looking slow mo's of his moves and I see so many situations that would be a carry or a travel 20 or more years ago. Starting to wonder would he be this successful in that era. For example, he made like four steps on one dribble when attacking Gordon.

Big brunson fan but I agree. They changed the rules for less physicality and allowed more steps after the dribble. It’s clear they value offense over defense. The game also feels like some 3 point shooting contest. To basketball purists this product is not as good. Still love the Knicks though.

This was all started by AI with that palming violation of a “crossover”. Patrick Ewing’s “drop-step” was a travel, etc. we have clips from this year of LeBron *RUNNING* down the court with the ball-no fewer than *5* steps before dunking it. So…

He does it all. It definitely helps to have a 41.3% three point percentage. He also plays good defense. Don't be fooled by his size. Brunson is part of the reason why the knicks have the 2nd ranked team defense and it isn't just about him taking charges. Brunson is the 52nd ranked defensive player in DEF WS with 0.111 and there are over 450 players in the nba.

I think kids should study Jalen Brunson instead of Ja Morant or any other flashy player. He's essentially the Tim Duncan of point guards.
