Sarah comes across as incredibly wise! Her eloquence and ability to see things from multiple angles suggest she's well-read and thoughtful. That's fantastic! Regarding the discussion at 49:30, I think there's a misunderstanding. AI is the technology, while tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, and Claude AI are its implementations. When people say "AI Designer," they're referring to designing AI-powered products, not just using AI tools. It's similar to how we have FinTech, SaaS, and EduTech Designers. There's nothing wrong with using that title to communicate their expertise in designing AI-driven products.

My point (which I may not have explained well in the heat of the moment when that question came up) is that all (or most) products will be AI-powered, so there will soon not be anything special about designing for AI. As a metaphor, consider the use of programming languages to develop software. Nowadays, almost no software is developed with machine language (assembler programming), and yet that's what I did in high school back in 1974. It's just assumed that if you develop software, you use some programming language (which used to be called high-level programming languages back when it was necessary to make the distinction with assembler programming). I think almost everything will be AI-driven in 10 years. Jakob

@@UXtigers Thank you for taking the time to explain, Jakob! I completely agree with your perspective and greatly value your insights. I'm a devoted reader of your work on AI & UX and learn from you constantly. Just wanted to share my personal view on this - as the AI landscape flourishes, it's natural for professionals to highlight their relevant experience. This helps them stand out and attract potential employers seeking expertise in this domain. With so many AI startups emerging, it makes sense for people to try and highlight their experience to stand out. It's a mutually beneficial way to find the right matches during this exciting period of growth. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
