What a lovely performance this was. Jake Shakeshaft (I just had to write that name once in my life) has a gorgeous tone and all the basic techniques and abilities in place. One or two moments showed a little inexperience, but the show will soon sort that out! He seemed to effortlessly convey the emotion of the song, almost without trying. A real natural talent that I'm sure will only get better.

How his father sings along is so beautiful, I dont why but god damn that was beautiful.

can't help but smile when Wills ears take control of his arms... they had heard enough and that button was getting pressed... his mind was lost in the emotion and passion expressed in the delivery of the vocal and that's what makes music music... one song.. one note.. a word a hiss or a breathe can trigger all kinds of emotion but only when delivered correctly and for that a salut you... GREAT AUDITION

Not this performance in particular, but generally I think the last couple of years of TV singing comps have shown that they talent pool in the UK for these things is being over-fished. 7-8 years back, you could run The Voice and every audition would be an absolute banger, sadly now it's just ok karaoke.

Hmm, I don't think that's right at all. I mean go back and watch Pop Idol or Popstars and you'll see the level of act has dramatically improved in fact. Personally, I don't think Will Young or Gareth Gates would make it through the first round or two of a talent show now. And to suggest that the talent pool has been "over-fished" is ludicrous. There is an endless array of talent out there (you just have to look on KZread). It's just getting the right people to audition and getting them on TV. The issue is that producers of these shows know what works and what gets votes and that is often not the most talented.

i dont agree. Talent every year. Last year, that girl CHRISTINA MARIE was the real deal. She couldve been a huge hit and even been cleaning up at big music ceremonies like Brits , Grammys, etc... She didnt win ,and her career hasnt taken off yet. Go check CHRISTINA MARIE covering "hold on were going home " and other covers. she is superb , and she was from last season .

He surprised me for my 17th birthday back in 2015, he performed in my house as my mum hired him for an hour and it was honestly the best hour of my life..and now he's completely famous..so proud of him!
