What I don't like is that before the fight a lot of people were calling this fight a 50/50, and now they're talking about the fight like jake was a 10:1 underdog and did really well for himself, went beyond expectations. Don't get me wrong Jake was quite threatening and the fight was relatively close, but that is what everyone was predicting right?? (except for the furys but their hands were tied really)

In my opinion Tommy outclassed Jake for the most part, you could honestly make an argument that he won 7-1, Jake showed he’s got heart and to be fair a good chin. He wasn’t fighting with one arm though and that was a load of cobblers on the night from yous, not hating btw. I think Tommy deserves far more respect because he had so much pressure on him for the fight and yet in the ring he looked calm and fought a great fight

Outlanding does not always mean victory. Joe Frazier was outlanded heavily by Ali in their first fight, and won an easy unanimous decision over him.

He’s a “real boxer” when you’re giving him props and slurping on his meat, but he’s a “KZreadr” when you’re dragging Tommy.

Jake performed better than all of Tommy's previous opponents and had the power to knock Tommy down with a jab while he was gassed in round 8. All Tommy's previous opponents did worse and were "real boxers" so Jake is a real boxer.

Strange take. Tommy was significantly better. Landed more punches in every single round. Nearly double the entire fight totals. Landed more jabs and power punches. The ref made it strange with random points off. If Tommy didn't get his feet tangled and went over off that jab, it would have been a wider scoreline. Should have been anyway, no way did Paul win the fight. Round 3 maybe and the final round. That's it. Tommy isn't great but he schooled Paul with combinations and Jab. Paul looked terrible. Holding and wild right swings.

Saying it was a 2 year guy vs a 15 experienced boxer is kind of a spin. 15 years ago for Tommy was when he was 8 years old. Way I saw this. Was that jake tried every single trick in the book to apply pressure to Tommy before the fight. Yes Jake did OK. But I was very impressed with Tommy's ability to handle the pressure. And stay composed during the fight.

Learn boxing before calling the knockdown a slip, regardless of whether Tommy 'slipped' after, jake still connected, causing Tommy to hit the canvas, which isn't a surprise, the dude has power and puts down every opponent. Did you watch the fight? Jake was throwing THE most telegraphed punches you have ever seen and hitting him with him and for all the punches he hit jake with Jake i never really saw his face change to be honest. I say him tired yeah but I never saw a punch make Jake's face change meanwhile tommy definitely took punches that him look worried. It took this dude 15+ years to get this good and this is where he is at? Lets all agree on something... Tommy beat Jake via Unanimous Decision... Jake was constantly winding up that right hand most of the night and Tommy saw it coming from Abu fucking Dhabi mate. Tommy dominated Jake from minute one, Jake REALLY needs to go back, get a new coach because BJ isn't teaching Jake the finer details of the sport. His footwork wasn't there, he wasn't setting up his shots well and he was throwing bombs where his head was so low it might as well be in the desert sand. If Tommy improves which I REALLY think he will especially if there is a rematch with Jake, and Jake doesn't. Jake is getting beaten worse than this fight because Tommy hasn't got a weight on his shoulders anymore... Jake has.

@@CHRISTBRO he is been trained by his dad, who is a pro. He wasn’t simply punching some bags, they were training the fundamentals of boxing well since a kid. For Jake Paul do as well as he did with just 3 years of proper boxing, people should really give him some credit. He gave Tommy’s toughest fight, wobbled him with a left hook, kept him on the backfoot multiple times due to Jakes power, and made the score much closer to the judges.

Tommy landed a significant amount of more shots. Looked like he was only limiting his combos. When he let go he was boxing, it's his first time under the big lights. He handled it all so well and won. Was easy to call it. Jake can box, he can fight, no doubt about it. But he was overwhelmed, it showed and Tommy got in his head. He didn't look or "feel his best either" but I think it's a genuine loss. I would put money on Tommy in a rematch 100%.

With the excuse of being ill and having a supposed injured arm, Jake shouldn't be wanting/begging for sympathy when he was the reason Tommy was literally called a liar and ridiculed for two years for legitimate reasons for the fights not going ahead like a broken rib ffs, whatever online trolling Jake gets is just karma in my own personal opinion

Give Tommy some credit FFS. He had so much pressure going into it, his reputation would have been in tatters if he lost but he dealt with the situation brilliantly. I respect both, I think both performed way better than anyone realized, both have great chin, took clean shots and still fought at a good pace.

Fair play to Jake for getting to a decision but that judge was off his nut giving Jake the decision. There was no way Jake won that fight.

simple answer really. he’s fought one novice boxer (tommy fury) got beat pretty easily, looked very basic with awful head movements. wouldn’t win a area title. therefore NO he’s not a boxer.

Everyone saying Tommy struggling to knockout a KZreadr when Jakes probably been training harder than Tommy and taking it more seriously in the boxing world for last 5 years plus everyone giving stick for Tommy crying after the fight but he even said himself that people doubted him and for the last 3 years it consumed his life

Jake tried to get up close and personal and wear Tommy down. That was the clear tactic from the start and we could hear Jakes corner practically give those instructions including "Not one step backwards" etc. The problem was Jake was being picked apart on the way in by Tommy's crisp, long reaching, accurate jabs which I personally found very impressive from Tommy and showcased the void in class and experience. To be fair to Jake I think he did have Tommy blowing a bit by the end of the 3rd but Tommy had a fast cardio recovery and Jake clearly didn't have the cardio to sustain that pressing high work rate nor the accuracy or skill to really take it to Tommy or avoid Tommy's jabs and combos. Objectively Tommy was far superior, it should never have been a split decision and that semi-slip knock down only served to flatter Jake and gloss over the obvious gulf in class. I think if there was a rematch and a more settled Tommy just stuck to his boxing and works that sharp accurate jab, doesn't get drawn into a Jake Paul sort of ugly brawl etc, Tommy easily wins and probably stops Jake in the 7th or 8th round after a complete one sided battering of jabs and combos.

It’s not an anti Jake thing, it’s common sense. The past while he’s being sucking jakes dick and you could see on his live stream he was hoping for Jake to win and was hella pissed tommy won even though he won quite comfortably.

That judge who scored Jake winning is on the pay role 100%. Jake is a better boxer than I will ever be, so no comment on that, but he was never in the lead once. Should have been unanimous.

Personally given the level they are at in their careers they both should have respect. Love or hate him, Jake Paul has proved that with determination and dedication you can achieve things. At least they have kept boxing interesting and fun to watch. They can only get better. Who knows maybe we will see Paul and Fury fighting at higher levels in the years to come. If Paul stays dedicated he can only improve technique, considering the ground he had to make up in a short space, I think he did ok. Credit to Fury holding it together under the pressure and showing the technical edge. Good stuff.

To be fair you did disregard tommy when the fight was happening the whole way through. You could see the skill gap. Props to jake for giving it a go but tommy worked him the whole way through.

I had it 75-74 paul. I had rounds 3,7,8 for paul. Rounds 1,2,4 for fury. Round 5 when paul was deducted 1 point, i think jake won tht round, making it a 9-9 rd on the card. so instead of a 10-9 rd for jake and making it 3-2 fury after 5 it was still only 3-1-1 after 5. Jake didnt inch closer. Round 6 when fury was deducted 1 point, i had fury winning the rd. So with the point taken, made it a 9-9 rd. So 3-1-2 after 6. Instead of 2-2-2 Rounds 5&6 was a wash. Equal. Bad ref. Get out the way. 7 like i said for jake at 10-9.. making it 66-65 fury after 7 goin into the last round. Obv i had jake 10-8 the 8th which leads to 75-74 jake. Round 2 couldve went jakes way but i gave it to fury. Rounds 5&6 is where it gets weird bc of the ref, however both rds i had the guy who got deducted as the wouldve been 10 guy of each rd. Im dumb tho like every1 has said, i guess so is wilder and the judge and 24 yr veteran of scoring fights who all seen it the same way 😂

Hating gives me the energy to not give up in life. That wasn't going to be my comment but I had to write this as I've just heard you say that hating won't get you anywhere in life. Hating gets me through life. I live on hate and anger. I have nothing else left to feel. Pain and sadness are constant and bring me down but hate brings me back up to fight through another day. Anyway my comment was going to be in relation to the title of this video. I'd say the question that also has to be asked is if Tommy is a boxer. Because for someone who has had so much training and experience, for him to have not got a knockout and to win how he did raises serious questions about his ability and credibility against a non-boxer. Tommy should have been able to wrap things up by round 4 or 5 at least. Either he's really bad or JP is better than most people thought.

Styles make fights.. Jake is unorthodox, head down swings and held on for dear life at times. Forget the surname, tommy is a young raw novice. The amount of pressure on him was ridiculous at this stage of his career. He clearly controlled the fight and won with significant ease with the jab against an awkward unorthodox fighter. Yes, he didn’t batter or KO jake but he definitely beat him with ease. So the including johns interview at the start was uneccesary as well as stating that Jake went the distance with a ‘life long’ boxer.

I'll give credit to BJ Flores. It's one thing to have a boxing trainer, but to have one that had a respectful career as a boxer himself, he knows how to teach Jake skills in a quicker way by applying smart strategies that I think can't be taught to a boxer with less than 3 years experience by a trainer who hasn't boxed professionally. If you work smart, you can learn skills quicker. Tommy himself even though he has more experience, he has no proper amateur background and is a raw novice. Those two are closely contested and will be interesting to see how they progress in their own respective careers.
