Same thing when a homeless man in our area died a few years ago. When he passed I remember everyone just remember him as a person. All you heard was ‘that’s nice man who had a good heart’, ‘the funny guy’, ‘the sweet guy who was always helping others?’. Not one person referred to him as the homeless guy or mentioned his lack of money. Everyone devoted their life to money but in the end people remember your characteristics and nature, not your wealth.

I remember listening to this when it came out. And last night I listen to the podcast he had with No Jumper basically talking about the same thing. But here he’s just over it. And right now. He had Erika but he cheated on her and self-sabotaged. She was driven, she was smart, she didn’t take his shît and though she was part of team 10, she worked just as hard as he did for her following/fans. She wasn’t using him, she genuinely cared and wanted the best for him. His mother approved of her, Nick Crompton said she was the best thing to ever happen to him. When he overworked himself, she made him promise to take time off to spend with her, seeing his breaking point. She was walking through the living room of the team ten house talking about buying furniture and making it homey instead of having a boxing ring there. In Shane’s documentary, he was talking to Erika about how he sees herself and Jake moving out of the team ten mansion and having their own smaller home and living together. Watching this video is so so sad because I imagine him living a simple life with Erika and actually being happy without so much stress and guilt and internet hate on his shoulders. All this pain gone. He’d have a chance at growing up, self-improvement and finding himself in an environment where he can focus on himself. Some people don’t deserve this kind of pasture but I believe he does and I wish he could’ve found peace.
