That was some old-school Hollywood fight choreography. One fighter drops his hands and eats a couple of massive shots, and then, as if energized by the concussion he just got, he lands a couple haymakers in return.

I think it's consensual he is one of the great actors of his generation. Since Donnie Darko, when he was a teenager, the world knows he's special. Nightcrawler, Prisoners, Enemy, Zodiac, Nocturnal Animals. The dude alone carried and saved Stronger. A true legend and a great guy, really special soul ❤

Is it just me that gets a good feeling about how much the crowd take it so seriously and help purely for the sake of the movie? Instead of just shitting on it for a "laugh". Faith in humanity restored again.

Like I remember watching it live, and I have been watching UFC forever now, and I remember seeing this and for a moment I was like "wait, what is going on? Is this a real fight? This looks odd. Is that Jake Gyllenhaal? Is that for a movie or something or is this a fake fight?" 😂😂😂 now imagine if they surprised someone who regularly watches UFC like this, what happens when most of the crowd is mainly only there for guys like McGregor, Jones, Gaethje, Izzy, Pereira or whoever. So I think many people really thought (atleast for a moment) that this is maybe a real thing, and some probably just went with the flow 😂

Dedication towards his job is unparallel.

For the last Rocky movie they did the fight in-between rounds of a real boxing match in Vegas and evidently the scripted fight was better then the real one and the chanting for Rocky and everything was not planned and just real reactions.

he's been my favorite actor since like Danny darko and naught crawler prisoners and brothers. this man can really do any role

I saw him in Road House, good movie, good actor, I love his smile the bad guy.

Man they really do make fight scenes much more realistic when filming with the right camera angles and special effects. Watching it from ringside makes it look like a WWE match.

I think the John Wick series is the best recent example of "fake fights" done right, but that's only because Reeves & Co actually put in the work ahead of time and focus on nailing as many small details as possible, instead of relying solely on editing and cgi to fill in all the gaps.
