It was not an underrated country, it was a dynamic country in a dynamic region. Don't you know that indonesia is a member of G20? Why people found this country just recently, because of the global media campaigns that discredited it. Why? Because indonesia is the biggest moslem country in the world, the most strategic country demographically, geopolitically and economically with abundant natural resources. They try to manipulate it for the sake of their own interests. They hide / cover up it from the sights of global citizens.

The fact is Jakarta has more skyscraper building than Singapore ( 1st is Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta 2nd in South East Asia). Indonesia is only G20 member from SEA Country.

I left Jakarta in 2012, didn't know Kendal Road (27:45) is extremely clean. There, used to be very dark and smelly. And was extremely congested on Friday night, now is totally closed for traffic. I visited again Jakarta this early 2023, roads are damn bright, there's no dark corners. Good job!

In about 10 years Indonesia would have moved up to a middle income country, which puts it on par with current day Malaysia and 10 years after that it should be close to Singapore, Jakarta, Bandung and Nusantara will probably be as developed as KL and Singapore after that there's no other south east Asian country that will be as developed by 2050 expect Indonesia to become larger economically than all SEA nations combined, all this is assuming the growth rate remains at around 5%

Jakarta berkembang lebih baik dari waktu, tak perlu debat, nikmatin, jaga dan rawat fasilitas yang sudah dibangun, jaga kebersihan, keamanan, kenyamanan, biasakan antri, ramah dan santun agar tamu yang datang bisa betah sehingga dampaknya menambah devisa buat kita semua. 可惜博主沒碰上週日的car free day！若是在car free day，可以拍到更多視角的Bundaran HI區域。某次我就跨越園環的大馬路，默默跑進Selamat Datang Monument那裡拍照，其他印尼人看到我跑進去，也跟著去那裡拍網美照，我們全部人等到被保安嗶嗶才出來，那也是我第一次這麼近距離觀看那座紀念碑。 Jalan Kendal的區域，已經成為時下年輕人會去的地方，偶爾週末會舉辦活動，例如樂團表演，之前最知名的大概就是Citayam Fashion Week，有跟朋友一起在大馬路上走秀(台灣宅男風)，是挺有趣的經驗。身為一位長期在印尼工作的台勞，不時就能在印尼這裡找到樂趣，讓我很少有想念台灣的感覺...🤣🤣

Night walk in Jakarta hits different, for me. even with the windy night, I always felt so warm and relaxing. But, during the day is different. everything will be crowded. almost every street will has it's own traffic jam. and it's not the sun is burning you, but the polution so thick, that if you see Jakarta from the sky you will see gray. So, if someone wanna see the beauty of this video, go out during the night. and during the daylight, better stay inside. office, maybe, or class or home. still want some place to hang out? so many, mall and cafe. I was living in Jakarta while in college, like 4 years, so yeah. Not really enjoy the hot and crowded temperature, maybe because I'm from mountainous countryside. Damn, those days, I almost hope that everyday cold rain pouring down.

Kota Jakarta enjoy mau pagi, siang, sore, malam, karena saya ada di Jakarta dari kecil hingga dewasa. Durasi panas hanya 2/3 jam dan itu tidak benar-benar panas. Karena kota Jakarta besar dan luas banyak kawasan sejuk dan banyak pepohonan besar serta pembangunan infrastruktur.

Jakarta will not be like NY, because building heights in Jakarta are prohibited from exceeding 350/400 meters as far as I know, unless the rule is changed, I think Jakarta is more like Tokyo

kalo soal penghijauan Jakarta bagus menurut saya, yg buruk lebih ke tata kota masih banyak pemukiman kumuh / tidak terawat yang tidak teratur. trus jalur marka jalan gak semuanya jelas.

I have been in Indonesia for two weeks and I am currently in Yogyakarta😃

Saya pernah tinggal di jakarta 50 thn jadi tahu betul jakarta perkembangan nya , sekarang sungguh luar biasa indah( dulu aku kalau jalan” cari yg enak” saja karena kalau masuk kedalam kumuh. Daku tinggal ditebet dulu. Kini sdh didesa jadi pengen kembali buat santai malam , tapi didesa juga nyaman sekarang
