yeah and what's even MORE ironic and funny but at the same time scary, is that i'm pretty sure they were literally pouring POISON in his drink if you look at the red bottle with what seems to be the ☠️ symbol on it that the orange haired guy with the torn ear was holding. so it's actually a VERY good thing Dax kept spilling his drink, poor Daxter lol

A shame this series is probably over for good. Some of my best childhood memories are tied to this franchise. As one commenter said I'd love to see this made into an animated series, especially if it had Anime influences. But, unfortunately, that ain't likely to happen.

Ashelin: That's easy for you to say. _Your_ life's not on the line! Sig: For my friends... It is. 10/10 delivery. Sig was such a cool character. I wish this series could be revived, but unfortunately it seems like this franchise is going to be dead, though. I got word that Naughty Dog has TLOU3 in concept rn, meaning Jak is not on the agenda. And seeing how bad the PS4 and 5 ports of Jak trilogy were, as well as all the old developers leaving ND, it's a wrap for this series.

yee, BOTH Ashelin and Sig are really cool, hella tough characters and some of my favorite characters in this series, including Tess, Pecker, Damos, the friendly Lurker merchant, Dark/Light Jak, and of course Jak and Daxter themselves. But duuuude, Ashelin is TOTALLY Bae, and her voice🥰❤️ a beautiful strong woman with an equally beautiful voice, and she's pretty likeable too. i really wish Ashelin and Jak ended up together instead of Keira and Jak 🙄 ah well at least Ashelin and Jak had a short, romantic scene together at the end of Jak 3😏

for real Jak's been edgy tho since Jak II, i'm glad he's got his best friend Daxter to be the comedy relief balance to his edginess lol. sucks they dropped his name IMHO from the title of their games since the first game and just had Jak's name in it ever since, Naughty Dog could've at least shortened Daxter's name to fit into the title of the games like: "Jak and Dax" instead of just "Jak II", "Jak 3", "Jak X: Combat Racing", etc, since i think Dax has an equally important roles in these games too.

yes that's right xD I know the Jak and Daxter series in English and in German both. If I take the German equivalent of the sentence "Are you still talking?", if I take the German version and translate it back to English by words, I'll get something like "Are you still alive?" xD The sentence "you get used to it" can be understood (by me) in two ways. One: Mizo gets used to it. Why should he get used to it when he instantly dies? Lol. Two: "you" was meant as "people" (get used to it). I think the latter is the true version. If I translate the German equivalent of the sentence by words, it's like "people get used to it". Well, I like the German version of the game more than how much I like it in English xD (and I'm a Hungarian, so both languages are foreign for me)

Keira was always my fav girl in Jak games. So hot, so smart and loves machines/cars and racing.. All in one :D

Jak's deffinately got more testosterone in this game than in all the others lol.

I ship Jak and Keira really hard, and I did a hyper happy dance when they finally kissed. 💕

yes, that log is inside his hair xD you should watch (or also play) "Jak II" too, there are two Samos the Sages at that time, the younger version is himself had much more hair in some afro style xD and in that age he already had that log in his hair, where he had an egg too (yes, the egg is that egg, where Samos' bird came from) xD

That's the cool part about his design, being that he's the Green Sage, he essentially learned how to control green eco, what gives life to everything. He also uses he uses his abilities consults with plants and rocks with his abilities, that's how Samos was able to learn Baron's plan to crack open the Precursor Stone, and how he learned that Jak was the key to saving the world, even back in the first game

How come they still do not turn it into an animated series?

@@miopicpanda Yeah looking back at 3 i think it was okay but it's definitely the worst out of the original trilogy that we could agree. They went further away to what made it's predecessor so special the story was short and had a lot of plot holes all they really did is try to add new things in the storyline about Jak's childhood and backstory but it was done in a meaningless and lazy way. Jak X felt like the ture sequel to Jak 2 at least because of the setting being in a crime-filled city giving it a mush harsher tone like 2 had before and the story is decent despite it being a racing game.

@@thehighestorder2868 Well if you disagree because it is your favorite that means it's just your opinion it doesn't change the fact that it is the worst in the original trilogy it was toned down compared to it's predecessor in terms of gameplay difficulty and story. Jak 2 was a pretty hard game to beat that somewhat made it satisfying as an adult player and Jak 3 felt very easy and the story wasn't as good because of so many filler and plot holes that it all didn't hold anything as of redeeming consistent value. Jak 3 tired to be a casual cookie cutter platformer with a lot of gimmicks and hand-holding mechanics like you are literally given items that made the game so accessibly easy way too early. And I am only objectively saying i prefer Jak X over 3 because it had a similar tone that stayed ture to what 2 had and it is fair in difficulty gameplay-wise.

39:22 it's only in this video that this frame is later than the regular cutscenes. But in the game, I remember like these secrets can be unlocked before the end of the game, so this frame can be a spoiler for the player, referring to Blitz and Mizo being the same person...

The jiggle physics in these games really helped me growing up🎉

maybe it's just because the original trilogy didn't have that much cursing in it but i think the reason i found this so hilarious when i first played it is because of how it completely threw me off guard and was not expecting that at all loloololol. still hilarious to this day

Fun fact: Ratchet is a secret character in the Jak X multiplayer. I believe if you have a save file of Ratchet: Deadlocked on your PS2 memory card, if you select one of the options to scan for secret characters, you can actually play as Ratchet in this game

yeah it's probly becuz this is BOTH of their franchise's 4th games (i believe) in their own series, respectively, and BOTH Ratchet: Deadlocked AND Jak X: Combat Racing has their title characters acting more edgy than usual. and both games also focus heavily on being a "sport" type of game compared to their previous games with their usual styles. Ratchet: Deadlocked being a constant hardcore gladiator deathmatch tournament, and Jak X: Combat Racing being a (almost) nonstop adrenaline rush of literal brutal death racing.

@@isaaccooper862 yup that's tru and another fun fact: likewise with Rachet Deadlocked, you can also play as Jak (but only the original version of him from the first Jak and Daxter game) as a 'secret' unlockable player character, but there's also a slightly different version of him in it that has him with a different hair color of red instead of his original yellow-green hair and wearing a red version of his clothes. i played as Ratchet when i finally managed to unlock him on Jak X as a playable racer and vice versa, i also played as Jak on Ratchet: Deadlocked once i was finally able to unlock him as well, i was so excited to play as both of them in each other's games lol😄

If u go back and play some of the old ratchet and clank games idr which one but there's a condo house type deal where u get some grind boots and on the wall is a jak and daxter poster on the wall ratchet and clank and jak and daxter have always had some type of throw back to ratchet and ratchet has some throwbacks to jak universe

Jak grew as the series continued. He was 5'6 in the first game, 5'8 in the second, 5'9 in the third, and 5'10 here.

He was only shorter / the same height as her in Lost Frontier (where he was shorter than everybody for some reason). If you watch the intro where she calls him a "brave adventurer" and near kiss scene from the first, it's clear that he's been taller form the start

@@thegreatid3595 no it wouldn’t like??? it would probably get more praise for that scene specifically, her father was trying to uphold out dated gender roles by making her stay in the garage but she stepped out of that role and ended up racing great proving to her father that girls can race the same as guys. did you even play the game or watch the cinematics? how would this catch any kind of hate??

@@RomanCzachor Because people would be upset that any kind of character that works for the heroes is saying a "sexist" statement like that. Some people would praise the game for challenging roles, but especially nowadays there would still be some that want to trash on Samos or the game entirely because of his stance on women and combat sports, even though he really didn't want Keira getting hurt or killed, how most fathers would react to their daughter doing anything potentially dangerous. Real Man has a point.
