JAK-STAT Signaling Pathway

JAK STAT Signaling Pathway Lesson: Ligands, Receptors, and Importance in Disease.
Hey guys! In this lesson, you will learn the JAK STAT signaling pathway, the ligands that activate the pathway, the cell surface receptors involved in the pathway, and the functions of JAK and STAT in the pathway. You will also learn about how the JAK-STAT signaling pathway is involved in different types of cancer and polycythemia vera.

Hey JJ, you probably get this a lot so I hope you don't my asking, I was wondering why you stopped making JJBartleyMusic videos, and if you have any intentions on continuing to make more videos in the future? Your piano tutorials were immensely helpful, and are greatly missed!

4:53 you mention STAT homodimers and heterodimers then focus only on homodimers. Is it only the homodimers that enter the nucleus and work as transcription factors? Or can the heterodimers do this as well? Thank you for the fantastic video!

Might be a silly question but is there a difference between receptor tyrosine kinases and tyrosine kinase-associated receptors? Or are they the same thing? Thank you
