I've been waiting for a new Jak game since 3, but this is great stuff too. I'm hoping to see custom levels that'll look like actual Jak levels and maybe someone can combine them into a fan sequel to the first game...

I'd honestly play the whole game like this, there's something weirdly exciting at the thought of exploring a huge Minecraft world with an agile platformer character moveset

Took me a second to realize that the minecraft versions is just in the ocean behind Samos’ hut, since you can see it above the cliffs where fire canyon should be, plus Misty Island is way closer

Seeing a Minecraft mod for another game where the blocks are scaled to 1 meter, not 1 foot, is always great to see. Makes everything a lot more believable to've made.

With OpenGOAL plugin for Blender you can add physical material (that determines sound and particles in game) to materials in Blender. I missed to assign such material on fisherman's boat so it sounds like stone.

@@Inirdin Ah, gotcha. Still good attention to detail to even notice the fisherman's boat got screwed up. I've seen maps in the past for other engines that just use the same sound effect for all floor types.

I set the collision material to waterbottom, but I was probably so close to the original Sandover that the original ocean somehow interfered with it. I actually didn't realize until now how weird that swim was.

WE'RE FINALLY ABLE TO FREELY EXPLORE KEIRA'S ROOM AND ALL IT TOOK WAS COMPLETELY DECOMPILING AND DECODING A 20+ YEAR OLD SOURCE CODE AND THEN TELEPORTING THE MAIN CHARACTER TO MINECRAFT UNIVERSE OKAY

Scout flies was a nice touch, great stuff as usual

When the creeper blows up the entire village and Steve tries to fix the village

Two childhood games merged, one from when i was 3 and the other from when i was 12.

This reminds me that always wanted to build Samus Hut when I was younger and played Minecraft with Friends. And you know what... with this as an inspiration I might aswell do it

You guys are getting better and better at using this engine. I am beginning to feel some hope that a really good fan game will soon come. Maybe what this community needs now is a good writer and some voice talent. Not to mention, maybe a few lawyers to wring this IP from the hands of whoever is hoarding it now.

My favourite part of Jak and Daxter the video game is in the secret ending when you collect all the power cells, if you touch the secret white eco vent Jak speaks for the first time and says "it's Jakkin time" and then he Jaks all over Daxter

The jump scare at the end fucked me up

Daxter: "Dang! What did Green-stuff put in that stew!? I knew I should have trusted those mushrooms..."

You heard about Super Mario 64 Rom Hacking, now get ready for Jax & Daxter modding!

You can get an official mc skin pack that has both jak and daxter as skins (though I don't think it's available on new versions I know it is available on the ps3 version but ya it's a real thing)

I love channels like J's Reviews but it's more to do with the game finally getting a big breakthrough in being completely decompiled hence a lot easier to mod and tweak

I think it's possible to make a minecraft mod that replaces the player with Jak using the source code. Someone already did that with SM64.
