@@knottytoob remittance ka kya karnA? He's a diplomat who waffles all day about India but his kids had the option to become an Indian citizen and they did not, he did all his education from the US. Shows his trust in the Indian economy and future, actions speak louder than words.

Jaishankar is excellent. So are Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Mansukh Mandaviya, Piyush Goyal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hardeep Puri, Rajeev Chandrashekhar. Today we have one of the best cabinet in my living memory and I am nearly 60.

Knowing Arnab for years it is difficult to believe he had no choice but to concede greater space to the established brilliance of Dr. Jai Shankar. This interview reaffirms Dr.Jaishankar's stature in the challenging world of diplomacy and his expertise in constructing English to express his thoughts precisely.

Very refreshing interview from Arnab. I didn't watch Arnab's shows for long time, particularly the debates bcos of just noise. But, when I watched Navika's interview recently where her questions were mostly like "opposition is asking, opposition is blaming". In this interview, most of the questions were genuine and the ones I also have. As a diplomat and foreign minister, Mr. Jaishankar is always awesome. Btw, if Modi gets 400+ and wants to change the constitution, i would expect some political reforms like one nation one election, transparency in party funding, and judicial reforms. All the best for Modi and jaishankar to once again form a strong government. Indians deserve one.

Just one question : Why in 1947 when Indian Muslims wanted Pakistan carved out of India, haven't the ( Muslim ) Mosgues reverted to India as State Assets ? And for Prime ministerial elections anyways we need to vote for political party.

@@sid8285 Well it's actually the other way around, PPL vote for party not individual leaders based on their performance. Hence you have political leaders jumping from party to party.

The party that stands and works for country is what we need to vote for. Presently it is without any doubt BJP. My vote is for BJP too.

Was Arnab's fan but had stopped watching because of the noise. interviews in other channels these days sound so fixed, as if the question paper was given in advance or may be designed by the guest themselves. this seemed an honest one.

Population should have been swapped peacefully with the help of the Brits. Those insistent on sharia compliace got more than their share of land. CAA is a small step to give justice to Hindus, jains , Buddhists and Sikhs left behind in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Partition was not their fault.

Why can't Arnab conduct his Debate program in this intellible manner? He needs to recognize that Republic TV is watched by international audiences. The chaotic and cacophanous ways the Debate is held with invited guests with opposing viewpoints as well as the moderator screaming concurrently is disconcerting and repulsive to audiences who want to learn about the issues of the debating topics.

Arnab is a fearless and a very probing journalist but he interrupts too often during interviews. He must let the interviewee answer to his satisfaction. That said, Jaishankar is the foreign minister India needed for a long time. He is a true gem.
