Hailing from the Basque region of France and Spain, jai alai is often called "the world's fastest ball sport." Most sports fans in the United States, however, probably aren't familiar with the game and how it's played.

Once wildly popular in the United States, the sport of jai alai has seen its up and downs, slowly fading from the mainstream sports scene.
