Great to watch this partido..Watched Bolivar and Felix play in WPB and all over FL. Remember when Arra 2 played middle games in Tampa and watched Aramburu as a rookie in Ocala and a veteran in Miami

Bolivar was excellent..but he did lack some parts of his game....was never v good fsll down rebote

Watched boli in his prime at tampa he was amazing to watch

Felix looks fantastic here IMO. Sorry I never got to see him play regularly in person!

Does anyone know if there are any videos of Arra (from Miami, Juan Ramon Arrasate) playing in a partido ? He was always my favorite and I've never seen him in a partido format.

There was 1 doubleheader in Miami that stands out above the rest. It featured Remen in his earlier days, and this day, in every game, if Remen touched the pelota as in catching it, he made a winning throw back in every point of every game he played. Must have been 8 or 9 games that day, and it was all Remen. With that wrist of his he could sure throw beebees! Fun to watch-guys were just getting out of the way. When Asis was on in singles, he could serve and ace the game with that great picada he had.

Remen was amazing. Remen urquiga played zulaica boniguen partido and lost 1981

Thanks for posting, I never got to see Bolivar or Felix play in person. Is the Arrasate here Arra II from Tampa?

Felix used to play with Bolivat in NAJF championship Arra II and Mendi from Orlando won

@John Sears It says who they are in the description. Bolivar is playing with Aramburu in the red shirts. Arrasate (Arra II) and Felix are in the white shirts.

My very favorite all-time partido was when Tampa, represented by Bolivar and Gorrono, played Alberdi and Javier representing Miami. Don't remember the year, but Tampa was ahead 2 partidos to 1, and this was Partido #4 in a best of 5 in Miami with a chance to close it out. Do you think the fans were pumped? Anyway, Alberdi (Miami) got the early lead, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 and Bolivar was beginning to pressure more heavily with each succeeding point. The crowd was raucous, on their feet and screaming, and the lead ballooned to more than 10-0! For those of you who remember, Javier was short of stature but an excellent catcher with a good picada, but this night, Alberdi called him off everything, and, improbable as it seemed, the lead stretched out to 12-0!! Never saw anything like it! Bolivar was pacing like a tiger and sweating profusely, and then he was sweating and pacing. I don't recall the final score, it might have been like 15-6, but it didn't matter because the game was long over! Next week, back to Tampa for the 5th and deciding partido, but it almost was anti-climactic as Tampa won fairly easily. I don't recall the score as Bolivar-Gorrono were the champs, but I had seen my favorite partido in my life with Alberdi-Javier carrying the day the week before in Miami. The greatest jai alai exhibition I was ever privileged to see in person. I love all sports, but that partido is my all-time favorite sports memory in my life! Happy cortadas, all, and here's to a better 2021! And Pelosi cannot touch it!!! Jajaja

Joey, as I recall, did very well against Bolivar. How is this for an all-time Top 11 frontcourters (in no particular order): Joey, Bolivar, Goikoetxea, Orbea, Bengoa, Uriarte, Elorrio, Michelena, Arra, Juaristi, Inclan. Somebody can always add to the list-no slight intended. Have fun.

Egurbi...ondarres....some ive never seen play. Remen was fantastic...but him n urquiga could not beat zulaica boniguen partido..i was there that night
