Personal Testimony:
I wrote 'The Star in the East' as a testament of the hope we have in Jesus Christ that lasts a lifetime and into eternity. As believers, we long for the day we will see Jesus and will experience no more pain and hardship, but I believe that as God wants to save us for eternity, He also wants to save us today, and tomorrow, and the many days to come in this life. Due to having friends who have struggled with suicidal thoughts, and have tried to act on those thoughts with the intent of committing suicide, and other deep wounds or burdens many have carried (as well as myself), I wanted to share this song with you, in hopes that you would be encouraged to keep going, and someday find yourself at the feet of Jesus, as He wipes away every tear of pain and despair from your eyes. Though, even here and now, we can thank Jesus for keeping us even in the midst of our lovesick longing for Him to come.
If you are a non-believer, or a prodigal (someone who has fell away, but wants to return to Christ), welcome. More than just throwing Christianity in your face, I seek for you to also find freedom and peace in this song (I hope it makes you want to run through field) and if a desire arises in you to come along this wild ride of believing that every tear and any pain that you have been through will be wiped away, and redeemed by a true living, and holy God, please don't hesitate to join along. Even in your bedroom, on a walk, or getting ready in your bathroom, will you say these words with me?
"Dear Lord Jesus, I am sorry that I have sinned against you in ways that may be known or unknown to me. I ask and thank You for your forgiveness that has been freely provided to me. I believe You died and rose for my sins, and that You will make a swift return in due time. I desire to turn away from my sins, and I invite You into my heart and life from this day forward. I am not sure what this may completely look like, but I pray as I remain surrendered to You, You will fill me with the right people, the right places, and correct posture necessary to move forward in my walk with You. I seek to trust and follow You as my Savior for all of my days, in Jesus name, Amen!"
