My friend from zim introduced me to Jah’s music. I remember we where in his car listening to his songs and talking about life. We met through a mutual friend in 2018 November and he died in 2020 because of cancer. I miss him but I miss him the most when I hear this song, RIP Tafadzua. You will forever be in my heart.

For those who don't understand the language (Shona)...JP is saying...I have been in love with you ever since a long time ago but your father didn't approve it as he doesn't like me but i kept on knocking. My mother even went on to ask, ''what do you want, you are now loosing weight? what do you feel when you see her? just accept you cant get her maybe you will meet her one day. But JP responded (Its like a dog and hare chase in the forest of Uzumba-dzamutsana mutsana) he chose her and its like a sickness to him. It pains him a lot that his heart need a rest if she accept his proposal....he went on to urge all virgins to shine whilst they are not old. they should wear tight clothes at 2:27 whilst shining (Shaina tione uchiri mhandara wosarudza karokwe kanoti mbambamba)......OMW Love is a beautiful thing

I'm not surprised about the language similarity because abantu be southern Africa (vanhu ve Southern Africa) or Bantu people came from Great Lakes in Central Africa about 5 centuries ago in successive waves. I suspect someone was beating people there or maybe famine made people move. If we take an example the word child and translate that into different languages in Africa you will be amazed at the similarities and in most cases the word is the same. Here is the word child translated Language Child Zulu umntwana Venda Nwana Shona mwana Swahili mtoto Suthu ngwana Xhosa umntwana Ndebele umntwana Sesotho ngwana Tswana Ngwana

Not a Jah Prayzah fan but i gotta give it to him on this one. This song is a reminder of what we've lost cultural wise, joy, happiness and family. The things money can't buy, of cause change is inevitable and progress is necessary but we lost a great deal too along the way.
