Great video 👍🇬🇧
I cant believe he never mentioned the XJ40 they showed us was an estate that never went into production so that particular is pretty unique.
As the owner of a 3.0 2002 British racing green jaguar x type, I have invested about 5 k into it with 150k miles. I love the car but I will tell you if you buy an x type get ready to spend a lot of $. Once all of the 20-year-old parts are replaced they are a very smooth ride. My x type does not see winter at all and i don't drive her in the rain much either.
Great video, great examples of these cars, but was left wanting more. hopefully more, and longer videos to come.
Why no S type?
XKR for the win.
Xf diesel 3.0. Excellent car all round
Would be interesting to see an in-depth look at the XJ40 estate, where it came from and how someone it daliy-ing it!

I have the X-Type diesel (first car) and i absolutely love it but i'd like to have something more powerfull Now i'm thinking about getting either an 3.0 X-Type or a V8 S-Type/XJ (i'm interested in both 4.0 and 4.2 variants) but i don't know much about neither of those engines Which is more reliable and can i realy daily a V8 with an average job and a rental apartment or should i rather stick to the X-Type?

IMO, rust is what will ruin your finances with an X-Type or an X300/X308. The engines are quite bullet proof (except for timing chain tensioners and water pump housings on pre-2000 V8s).
Oh wow. All of the 90's rubbish you could want without compromising the sky high maintenance price.
