Thankyou for showing the remove and replace procedure, I would replace with the incandescent original type bulbs. They have a long life. A bonus is they act as heaters in winter and have a nice warm homely yellow glow instead of stark cold white 😊

The festoon roof light is a TS 578. I haven't yet found a 44mm LED replacement but they may be available in the USA. I agree with toffeepie, use Osram or Phillips.

Appreciate the knowledge of upgrading, but I love my Jaggg Originality.. I buy a F Type if I wanted LEds. Keep it original!

Another great how-to video. I think LED's are too bright for the applications. I would replace with original-type bulbs. Just IMHO.

Might as well do the number plate lamps while you are at it👍

The console bulb is a 42mm dimple end festoon. Not found one in 6000k yet - they all seem to be warm white - popular with the boat crowd for navigation lamps it seems

As yachtsman for many years I can tell you that LED lamps can be a problem in navigation lights, particularly the wavelength of them can cause the green starboard light to look far too blue. There are suppliers who source LEDs specifically for nav lights to avoid problems with perceived colour.

Hi Paul, I need to remove my centre air vents for a bit of resto, plastic has faded to grey on some of the louvres. Any idea how to remove them?

There are air vent covers on ebay various colours. Basically strips of plastic cut them to size and they fit snuggly over the existing vent. Not perfect but they do the job.

@@toffeepie1878 Fair enough👍. Actually mines are OK, I just tried to lift the interior appearance a little and tried the silver strips to match the aluminium trim and it works OK. As for removal can't help there, sorry.

Try Owatrol Polytrol colour restorer for dull or faded surfaces including car trims. I used it on a tail unit on a motorbike two years ago and it looks excellent. You can brush it on and wipe off the excess. Beats back to black hands down.

I would get a quality brand like Osram and use LEDs with a heat sink - if you get good quality bulbs they should last - but I also got stung by cheap LEDs - and almost burnt my Subaru down to pieces in the process so be careful - I plugged a LED bulb into the over head light once and then one day on the Ferry (of all places) I noticed the car did not lock correctly - the mirrors never folded in. I was just after departing so could not see what happened - needless to say after arriving at my destination the car was dead and I had to get a recovery truck take me 7 hours home - long story short a cheap bulb had the heatsink short to +Vcc upon arming - the dome light plastic melted and my Alarm got fried. Could have been much worse as alot of current flows into them wiring looms. No cheap bulbs - EVER. This cost me around £800 to put right - labour, new alarm programming etc...
