Great video, collecting my XKR in June and will be taking jump leads with me! CTEC charger about to be ordered. 👍🏻
Wow. Had my x150 for 3 year and never knew about that jump location. Very Cool
Its a bit more involved for a convertible because the roof protector can be a little pain to put back in .
Thanks Paul, I thought those charging points were there for short jump cables lol, it's a long boot so might need those few extra feet for the cable! lol. I've been quite lucky with the battery on my XKR so far, I don't really charge it any extra and it keeps the charge very good all these months 👍
My battery is flat and the top was down, so access to the battery panel was blocked. This video saved me much frustration. Thanks!

Glad it helped 😊
Great vid I think it would be a good idea to put some red tape around that poss rubber boot so that there’s no mistakes knowing witch one is poss jaguar should have used a red boot don’t you think
Another great vid. Thanks paul
Checking connections on my battery because my control screen flickered and I checked dates too. Above the spare tire, 7 sept 2006, like yours and panel covering the battery, 29Aug 2006. 😅 Small world, Jay
Cheers, another great video
That Jump location is very useful if you have to change a dying battery. Connect another battery, or as I did, a lead acid type jump starter. You can then change the car battery without the car's electronics being disconnected. On some models the electric windows need a reset of some kind if power is completely lost.

Yes that's good advice 👍
Nice on Geezwa👍
Hi Paul what do you think of putting out a video on how to store your XK over winter. This is my first winter and would appreciate some tips.

Great video once again Paul. The paintwork on your car looks stunning. Which polish do you use and do you use a machine polisher?

Thanks Buddy . Check out the play list . It's Auto Glym super resin polish followed by HD wax by hand
Great video... question if I was boosting another car from my xkr would I use same ports or go straight from battery 🔋?

My Ctek charger is attached to the hidden + in the side (i hope that not going to cause me a problem. Are you using the telephone system in your car? Mine connects via bluetooth (iphone 10) I can hear everything but i can not be heard, any ideas?. also what disk did you use to update the satnav, where do i get one from? how much are they, and what is the proceedure?

Using the connection for the ctec is fine buddy don't worry. I bought a 2020 nav disc off an ebay seller it loaded easily (just put in the nav machine in boot and let it do its thing) and works well. Not come across the blue tooth fault yet

I have that Bluetooth faut too. Or maybe the microphone in the car is faulty?
There is also a battery jump port on the underside behind the back wheel left side bumper fender well

@@life_on_cars its the other end of the one you show on the video and, arguably, easier to access, given its not down a bit of a hole.
